Rollercoaster Restaurant

I look forward to cedar point’s two new restaurants but believe they missed an opportunity in not opening a “coaster” restaurant like the one found at Alton Towers (in which food is delivered via a system of overhead coasters).

I've been to that restaurant at Alton Towers, and it's pretty cool to see once. But I probably wouldn't go on a regular basis, if I went to the park a lot. The amount of seating in there is limited, and reservations are often required. And that means planning out your day around your meal. At a park like CP, they would either need a very large space, or reservations would need to be made well in advance on many days just due to crowds. Convenience is key.

We'll see how good the offerings are at the two new venues, but personally I'm just glad that they're investing in some fresh new dining options. I don't need the frills of my food coming to me on a coaster. Good food that doesn't take too long to get is a big win at CP.

Sorry if I shot down your idea, haha. Not my intention. On paper it does seem like a roller coaster restaurant would go well at the "Roller Coaster Capital of the World." But the logistics definitely have limitations.

Coaster restaurant? Order your food while loading. Food service throws it at you in the turn around. Scarf it down on the return trip to the station!

^Run the risk of literally losing your lunch. :P
