Ive seen Roller Coaster Tycoon has like three "real" parks created...does anyone know if they will be making a Cedar Point one too?
I remember an article somewhere asking that question...
http://www.guidetothepoint.com/thepoint/news/default.asp?search=tycoon×pan=180 Chris Sawyer said CP is his favorite park in the US. However, I doubt he'd make a simulation of it due to the fact that he lives Europe, as far as I know. (You'll note the three Real Parks are all in Europe. Two in UK, one in Germany I believe.)
Of course, I'm sure somebody's made the park in RCT, and I'll bet they'd be willing to send it to you.

How dare you vanquish the Steel Phantom without his consent? Fear the Phantom's Revenge.
i have tried to recreate it,but there is not enough room to build it.
I am in the process of making a Cedar Point resort in the MEGA PARK Senario...that seems to have the most room...
hugs.

I tried to make CP in Mega Park but didn't have enough room to make it to decent scale. The main midway alone would take up the entire length of Mega Park.

i started to do the main midway and got about as far as the corkscrew.and this was in megapark mode.
If you give me your REAL e-mail address I could send you the Greg Reese Cedar Point. It's a saved game though. I tried to send one to your e-mail and it said you didn't exist?

I've created somewhat of a Cedar Point on mine...didn't have enough room for the larger rides, so I placed them where I could. I've made (what I consider) decent replicas of Raptor, MF, Magnum, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, and Mantis. Mantis though isn't as high as it should be mainly because they don't offer the zero-gravity roll for stand-ups in the game as they do with the inverted coasters. If anybody wants a copy of my park though, or just the coasters, I'll send it to you.

Danimation had a contest one time for real parks. Someone made a VERY good Cedar Point but what they did was split it into 2 halves. It includes just about every building including the front picnic area's, the arcade on the midway, just about everything. Even got the names to most of the food stalls right. Someone really did thier research. Of course they have the Giant Wheel in it's old space, Kid Arthur's court is still up PLUS a version of Milennium Force is in it's correct place using the Vert. Coaster.
It was made for the CF expansion and you also need to be running the Techno trainer. I'll see if I can find my copies of it.
I haven't tried to run it with LL running yet with any of the trainers. May try it this weekend.

Actually, later on in the game, you can create a steel stand-up coaster with the 4-accross seating and the zero-G loop. I've also downloaded a trainer and a workbench for the game. I can get all land flat, and ALL land owned. Still, though, not enough for a Cedar Point replica.

You can replicate it, but the proportions are all wrong though. I wasn't able to fit Mean Streak into it or build ID or Mantis very well.

there almost the same design as the real coasters.

Would one reason that RCT may not be able to have an "official" recreation be copyright infringement/permission issues with Cedar Point and Cedar Fair? Doesn't seem like they'd appreciate someone officially doing something like that - and profiting off of it -- without an exclusive arrangement.
If you're looking for great tips that incorporate CP play style in the existing RCT, check out the section I've created on my website! :)

could someone send it to me @ class2008@aol.com
????? iv been looking for cedarpoint park for rct
but never found it and was not good enought to build one model so if any one is willing to send me one i would be greatfull
I made one that went 202 MPH, B&M non-looping with one launched 262 foot lift hill after another. Kind of funny that it was going faster than Magnum just going up the first lift. Also when it broke about the 190 MPH barrier, it got all quiet and all I could hear is the wind rushing around the train. Not sure if it is a feature in the game or my computer was playing with me.
Hey, it only had an intensity rating around 25!
I know that sound you're talking about...I call it the sonic boom...it sounds like a supersonic jet....I also wonder if they added that for fun or if it's just the sound file getting warped more and more until it turns to that.
