Rode Maverick today June 28th 2007

Well , havent been to Cedar point in 5 or 6 years and went yesterday. WOW! After arriving I made a BEEEE line straight back to Maverick. The log flume was long gone! But I was very suprised How well that the new coaster for 2007 fit in. The foot print was a little bigger but was snuggled in to the area very nicely. The transition of using the old station and new station was superb. Leaning on the fact that the old log flume station was really nice and well landscaped.If you enterd the ride from Frontier trail ,you could get the just of it (what Im talking about.)Theming ? Not much. But for cedar Point, it was adaquite.The Qs were the old log flume and the turntable of the entrance into the old boats.(which was) Very nice transition. The ride Quality? Very zippy. The Part I liked the best was the lift hill. And the under the station tunnel. Never thought that one could be launched out of such a small hole! IF you know how to ride a coaster , you can lean into the elements and you dont have as much jarring.In my opinion , it was cool! modern technology in coaster design at its best. The whole exsperience was very good.Cedar Point was using all 6 trains which I thought was a feet in onto it self. The staging of all 6 train was unreal. True art work.I loved the fog and the lighting in the tunnel as you BLASTED OUT !It was a thursday and the park was empty. I cant ever amagine what the ride will look like on the weekend . There were no fans in the station. and the air was very still. I didnt know this but I never saw Cedar Point security with Guns? I guess you have to have them in this day and age? Im from Pittsburgh and Kennywoods security have guns . Overall. Its a great ride and A real asset to the park and there arsonal of coasters.You have to ride it just to see the technology behind the ride. I liked it
