Sad to hear of the sudden passing of Robin Innes.

Robin worked in PR at Cedar Point during the park’s incredible expansion from the 80s into the 2010s, eventually becoming the senior manager/ director. I remember whenever there was a local news spot about Magnum during its crazy opening year, you could expect to see Robin.

He also played an important role in CoasterMania over the years. He was always a consummate professional and a great ambassador for Cedar Point.

RIP, Robin.

A friend pinged me about this yesterday morning. Robin was the second person I ever spoke to at the park. He was definitely all-pro. Like everyone at the time, he wasn't sure what to do with the Internet, but he eventually came around. Nice guy, and I didn't realize he was still in the area. He wasn't very old. My thoughts are with his family.

When my husband and I renewed our wedding vows on Magnum back in 2011, Mr. Innes did all the coordinating to make it happen. He was very kind to us, and we will always be grateful for his help in making that event special for us. Prayers to his family. May he rest in peace.
