Rippin Rocket Roller Coaster-K'Nex

I remember a while back there being a topic about building TTD with K'Nex. While now they're making a special kit for launching coasters. It even has some kind of motor to power it. It comes out August 1st according to this. Here's the link.

Yeah, I remember reading about this a little while back on Coasterbuzz. I'll definitely be picking one up... and one of the greatest things about it is (besides the capability to launch) that the track is the same as Screamin' Serpent, so you can combine the two kits (or however many more) and make a huge coaster.

I dont really think this has to do with TTD... but thanks for the note!
You can build your own little Dragster.

Yeah, that's the point I was getting to. I should've mentioned that. Does anyone know what the launch mechanism is?

TTD Launches: 0 :( MF Plunges: 10 Wicked Twists: 9 Magnum Bullets: 24 Raptor Strikes: 17 Mantis Rolls: 6 Days at CP 03': 2 3/4

Last time i checked, they were at Wal-mart, for 19.99 or so. I have 3 sets, infact i just got some pictures back of when i bulid dragster when it was still being bulid, just of what we thought was going there, i must say, i was preety darn close. The launch is a spinning foam thing that the trains get pushed through and rushed forward, similar to the hotwheels launcher thing, well exactly like it. Good luck and show some pictures when your done.
ps. if your launching with more than 1 set, space them out, it does no good or gives no extra push iif they are one after another.

The best part of riding an arrow is getting off!:)

They had a Rippin Rocket set up at Coastercon. It was pretty cool. I'm amazed at how fast that thing flies over the top. I didn't get a close look at the launch mechanisms but i think it was just a set of booster wheels. There was one right below the hill and right on the vertical part of the hill.
