I thought Cedar Point closed the rides if there was even a sprinkle in Toledo. Today, I see the park as well as Kings Island running lots of the rides in the rain. Even the buckets on the Sky Rides are running. What has changed?
It was barely sprinkling this morning and yes everything was running. On Friday, however, the only major rides that opened were Millenium, SV and maverick. Most of the park was down for wind. My group thought this morning was a payback gift for everything being down Friday. Saturday was limited on what was open due to wind and rain and what was open had limited ops all day. that being said, it was odd that both windseeker and sky ride were open all day.
The park has gotten a bit better about trying to keep more rides open in rain that shouldn't actually close any rides. Credit where credit is due.
That said, Banshee at KI had trains bump yesterday in the rain. Maybe CP is onto something after all.
