Rides of the 1960s

There were a lot of rides that were only at the park a short time unlike today. Some may have been there only one year. Many were bought from other parks. The Monorail came from Summit Beach in Akron, both The Earthquake and Pirate Ride came from Freedomland and the Broadway Trip apparently came from the Seattle Century 21 World's Fair. Many could not handle the ever increasing crowds. What rides do you remember? Here are some that for one reason or another didn't stay long at the park.

Zugspite

Original Rotor

French Frolics

Bubble Bounce

Flying Coaster

Twister

If there is anyone who rode French Frolics please post what you remember about it. The history book just said it was more of an illusion than a ride.

OTT.. care to chime in???

Here is a picture of a "Flying Coaster." It's probably not what you were imagining!

I was on the original Rotor, and the Flying Coaster. I think I remember twister...but without seeing a picture, I can't be sure.

I also rode the Sky Wheel (double ferris wheel).

My first trip to the point was in 1966. I don't remember if the monorail was working then or not, but I do remember seeing the track for it.

I wish I could remember the French Frolics. It sounds naughty, but I'm sure it wasn't.
