Rides & heat..hmmmm

Just something I noticed today, alot of rides were having problems with stopping on the lift...is that a heat related problem or just mechanical? For some reason, this season has been about the worst I've seen for breakdowns, MF last year I understood because it was new. Oh yeah Ride of Steel, where were you today? I looked.

Heat is not normally ever the culprit of breakdowns but maybe Mr Althoff will grace us with his brilliance once again here..Most have shutdown due to a mechanical reason..

IE: Maggys inablity to see the darn Blue train this year!! Wouldn't be surprised to see that pulled off for a bit soon to fix that sensor problem

mf laps = 100! No More No Less!!
May not be the rides at all - a lot of time, setups are caused by guests getting sick (that could be heat related) and it has to be cleaned up, or guests having trouble getting into/out of the train and so using up that precious little time to keep the trains moving without triggering the block breaks and stopping the lifts.

Consider too that it is also the time of the year for it. The rides have now been running for a few months, and although you get some equipment problems at the start of the season, about now after running for a few months is when the second round hits. Just always seems like equipment failures go in cycles.

I really should be working...
Thank God for the air conditioned restaurants
and fans on rides such as Millennium Force. Geez.
id have to agree, especially in front seat mf makes a great fan :)

Mantis got stuck on that second break last Thursday (July 5) for like 20 minutes. When they FINALLY got the ride going, it went through the rest of the ride, inversion especially, at like 25-30 miles per hour. LOL... I would have LOVED to have been on that train!

You d@mn right! I LOVE The Force... too bad I live in Greenville, S.C.! Otherwise all my free time would be spent in line and/or riding that bad boy!

;o)
Blue Train on Gemini stuck on the lift in the same spot (approx.) 1/3 up the lift on TWO of the three days I was in the park....I thought that was odd and quite a coincidence....

Other than that no real obvious breakdowns or anomolies...
