Ride Testing

I know that I was the first car of the season on the Raptor, then we had bad luck with the Maverick! They loaded us on and took us off! It was a mess! I hope for much better luck with that this year!

^I hate that. When you are loaded then unloaded. It happened to me on Dragster and they sent us to the launch track, then brought us back. We sat in the train for a while then they made us get out, then they put us back in checked all the seats, then released the lapbars and told us to get out again while the cycled the train. And 45 minutes later we were loaded again and we sat on the launch track for about 5 minutes and were launched with no lights or soundeffects (which was so awsome). This created a lot of confusion on the platform for the guests and the employees.

New stairs, I believe. No idea if that's in response to the OSHA fines last year or not.

Most, but not all coaster trains are on the tracks. It looked like most of them today had at least one or more, but I wasn't really looking that hard.

If you want to see something particularly interesting, check out this photo of the "new" Ocean Motion boat. Apparently the frame of the boat is only intended to last so many years, and in this case it had been about 28. They obtained a used one from somewhere in Europe. It looks like they've transitioned the various parts from one frame to the new one. I didn't have time to get a closer look.

Remember the good 'ol days of "Tastes Great!!" Less Filling" on Ocean Motion? That ride can be such a blast with a fun group of people.

So this must be the first "new boat"? Neat little bit 'o trivia there.

Jeff, that picture was from April 25, 2009? Were you in the park today or something? Any other pics?;)

Not that we're curious about what's happening on a certain island located within the park.
