All of them have a bin but power tower is a shelf infront of the seat they give you instead of a bin

when it comes to Power Tower, you can take anything but giant stuffed animals and basketballs

They all have bins. The only ones that don't are generally the rides with separate load/unload areas (which you obviously knew already).

Maxair's is interesting, in that you should put your stuff in a bin close to your seat's section. I rode it for the first time today, and I put it in a further bin, not knowing that there was one closer to my seat. So I had to "fight the flow" to get to my possessions after the ride.

2011 - Trash Crew

Wow! Thanks guys for all of your great answers :)

While we are on the bin subject, last Friday (6/3/11) I noticed that Raptor's crew was very pushy on riders getting their belongings into the bins quickly. While I understand that load/unload times and hitting interval is very important, it was a nightmare trying to get to the bins. Unloaders were still digging in the bins for their belongings when the loaders came through to drop theirs. At one point I'm pretty sure I heard a ride-op say, "Don't wait for everyone else, just throw your stuff in the bin and hurry back to your seat." It was a log-jam, and when people did just start tossing stuff in, it was an even bigger mess....especially when the refillable Windseeker cups starting getting knocked over and spilled.

Did anyone else notice this?

I noticed this as well. It was so bad that they barely even checked the seat belts. The girl who was checking on our side only did every other seat. I can understand wanting to hit the interval but this was just a little much. I was there yesterday, and it wasn't as bad, but it was still very rushed.

I haven't had any problems this year with Raptor, but last year was really bad. The crew made the riders sit on their shoes instead of letting them put the shoes in the bin. If the station were bigger, it would be much easier to dispatch quickly. There are so many people hanging out in the station putting their shoes on right in front of the bin. Maybe if the bin were closer to the trains, this could probably solve the problem.

Another thing is on wicked twister your not allowed basketballs, they ask you to leave them outside the ride or you have to leave the line

They can't "make" you do that. If they do, tell them you are putting your shoes in the bin. Politely.

kind of off topic, but does anyone have a photo of the windseeker cups? I really want to see what they look like. I was not impressed with the Shoot the Rapids cups

All of the mentioned rides have bins, however since Wicked Twister's bin system only have shelves, anything that can roll, or be easily moved by a 72mph wind, will not be able to be stored.

I am a former Raptor ride host/purple tag, I understand the complaint you have against Raptor's fast moving crew, as well as barking at you to put your shoes on or sit on them. We have actually gotten (in the years I worked the ride), more compliments for moving the line quicker, being efficient, etc... than complaints. The point they're trying to make, is if it's easily storable, don't use the bins (use a pocket, your shirt, etc...). If you don't need to be at the bins, don't. It's just a sense of them trying to keep the line moving as fast as possible, so you're not waiting in a line at 95 degrees.

There are shelves in the station for STR, much like those on Wicked Twister, but they only allow shoes there.

They look like the STR cups, but with Windseeker stickers slapped on them.

Raptor's platform has always seemed especially chaotic around the bins, more so than other rides. I suspect everyone trying to put their shoes back on before they leave the platform is the biggest culprit. I've never understood why people don't just wear sensible footwear while at the park, but I guess there's not much that can be done about that. Encouraging (requiring) people to move towards the stairs before putting their shoes back in probably about the only thing that would help the congestion. Or perhaps having a shelf just for shoes would make it easier to "grab and go" than digging them out of the bin.
