Anyone think the ride ratings are a little strange? I think that a 1-5 scale doesn't quote cover it. How can all roller coasters be rated at a 5? Shouldn't there be a difference between CCMR and TTD? Also the Turnpike/Antique/Cadillac Cars are a 3, Sky Ride is a 3. I read the guide to the ratings, but it seems like it should be redone.
Maybe that's to encourage people to actually heed the warnings (i.e. - Heart condition, pregnant then don't ride). I think it does seem pretty wack though.
Lol, I can't believe I just used 'wack' like that :)

I think there should be a secondary rating for coasters.
For instance, keep all coasters as 5 for the heart warnings and such, but then have a secondary rating for the intensity of the coaster.
Examples:
CCMR - 5-2
TTD - 5-5
Gemini - 5-4
Etc, etc...

I noticed the ratings for the first time at the park last week. I was surprised all coasters were "5" too. I used to ski, so double black diamond is REALLY intense. Then again, so is CCMR. :)
I agree - they should revise them somewhat.
It's meant as nothing more than a general idea. Don't read too much into it.
