long as we're not on coasters in this thread, I like the New challenger MUCH better than the viper. Hope it goes into production. Mopars rule!*s*
It is.

Grady,
Thanks for the kudos on West MI. It is a great place to visit and a great place to live. Too bad you didn't have the chance to make it to the lakeshore. All of the towns along it are very nice. Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon, Saugatuck, etc.
And too bad MiAdv was not open for you. I'll bet a ride on Timbers would have made your stay even better!

I don't think Snoopy would be able to fit on Millennium Force. ;)

Mr. Scott, I will be making my way back out there with the kids this summer, I have always wanted to ride timbers, a woodie with some substance. :}

The only one better in the country is in Indiana, I've heard. Shivering Timbers is fantastic and you will love it!

I finally saw the commercial for Skyhawk after not paying attention and missing it a couple of times. It is very short and to the point with a catchy slogan.

ride on is such a good slogan. i want a t-shirt that is plain but says ride on. that would rock my socks off!
Anyone else feel the ads on TV are way to short? I'm sure it's expensive to run, but they show the Cedar Point logo for all of two seconds. I have trouble catching them when I'm waiting for one, I'm sure the everyday person would never catch one. *** Edited 5/15/2006 10:43:22 PM UTC by Gomez***

has anybody seen the new sky hawk commercial... not the one with the animated pov but the one where the two people keep ducking and then get on the ride... i laughed when i saw it!
Since this topic was brought back up... I really like how they're using the slogan. It works well, I think, with the "Log off and Ride on," but ride ops are also using it, and doing so quite well.
"But no matter what you do here today at Cedar Point, be sure that you ride on."

I heard the radio ad today. It said something like:
"Why check your email when I can scream 420 feet in the air?"
Something along those lines.
Huge improvement over last year's. *** Edited 6/17/2006 4:26:48 AM UTC by Gomez***

Hey, I live in Indiana, and we don't get many CP ads around here, especially since we don't have cable or dish, just an antenna. I was wondering if someone happens to record any of the ads on their DVR's if they could post them on YouTube or somewhere.
-Thanks

Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless
I have heard "Ride On" on many of the TV and radio ads, but never really heard it at the park until recently. Anyone else been there lately who noticed how the ride ops now encourage guests to "Ride On"? They mush have just started it, because I never heard it through my first couple visits, but in the last two weeks, it seems they say it on almost every ride...
"Please push down and up on your lap bars, unfasten your safety belt and enjoy the rest of your day here at America's Roller Coast Cedar Point. Ride On!"
It's interesting how they are now using this slogan, course they really couldn't use the last couple of years. Last years being "the best rides, shows, etc." and a few years back I remember "Absolutely Amazing."
Last time I can remember the ride ops actually using the years slogan was in 1995..."Enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, 125 Summers of real thrills." That was the best one, everyone was saying that.

I would hope this one stays. It seems to fit well and it's easy to use/remember. Plus the concept of logging off and riding on kind of helps you break away from the common world.
Maybe not staying on the ads, but I can see the ride ops continuing it.
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
Was "America's Rollercoast" really an advertising slogan? Or just something that was started amongst ride hosts? I remeber when I was younger (maybe 7-9 years ago) that you would always hear "Enjoy the rest of your dad here at Cedar Point, America's (Rockin') Rollercoast." Every once in a while, you still hear it at a ride or two.
