Hey guys, I just had a quick question.
I've noticed that at most parks, loading is really slow because there is at the very most, 2 people checking lapbars/restraints.
At Cedar Point, I was amazed to see 6 people checking restraints on Raptor.
I don't remember about the other rides. On the major coasters like MF, TTD, Mantis, and Magnum, how many ride ops are generally checking restraints for each?
Thanks!
It depends on the ride, but generally 2 to 6 per train being loaded at the same time.
I think this is about right:
WT-6
Raptor-6
BS-2
ID-4
WildCat-2
MF-4
Mantis-6
TTD-2 per train
Gemini-2 per train
MS-4
CCMR-2 or 3
DT-1
Magnum-5
WE-1
Jr. Gemini-2
Corkscrew-Not really sure, (don't ride it very often) 2 or 4 probably.

Which "he" would you be referring to Screamomatic....?
Well, Jr. Gemini's loading platform can be seen from the midway, Corkscrew's cannot, and considering that I haven't been on Corkscrew in, hmmm, say 2 years, I had to take a stab in the dark.
EDIT: I take that back, I was on it Closing Day of 2005, but I don't recall how many ride ops there were.

However many cedar point has is alot better than other parks. Chaos/Batman at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom which is a larger version of Mantis only had one person checking. They don't check the buckle, they just look. But thats Six Flags.
Thank goodness Cedar Point does have all those people, I hate waiting, especially for people who want to sit on Mantis, they have to lock and release those seats thirty times each load/unload. Its an event almost.
Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!
It might not be a roller coaster, but I realized thatthere were four people working on Skyhawk today. Two guys that run around like crazy, one guy in the station and one guy doing the line. I'm guessing that in about a year, there'll just be one person doing the belt, and one person in the station. But its the inaugaral year, why not four?
