Does anyone have pics of the old ride entrance signs with the cartoon characters? The recent Magnum thread just reminded me of them.
Glad to see it. I really think Melt is going to be a permanent fixture in this new location. Macaroni's and the Planet Snoopy restaurant were both rather lacking, so I'm hoping they are turning the corner this time around.

The full bar will be a welcome addition for parents hanging out in Planet Snoopy. :-)
I would hope that if parents have small children riding rides in Planet Snoopy, then the parents are very close to them in Planet Snoopy and not at the bar. If a parent is hanging out at the bar instead, please don't cry in panic to the worker who's at Lost Persons later...
Do you really believe that he was suggesting leaving the kids in Planet Snoopy and going to the bar?

Not necessarily to the bar, but one summer I worked at Planet Snoopy. You'll will actually be surprised to how far parents are from their child(ren). At times, I would see small children without their parents, and wonder why their parents are not closer.
^^^Why not the Helen Keller post? Might as well give them something to read, and it's a tad closer, so Smiley should be happy.

They can press the button on the Helen Keller sign and listen to the story too, just don't make the chain too long cause the audio track isn't very loud.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
Just put some hooks outside of the bar to tie the kids too, there is room for probably 10 or 15 kids.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
But then the kids won't be able to see or hear of the marvelous accomplishments of Helen Keller
See what I did there ;)

No. I can't see anything ;)
CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium
I am glad those signs are gone. Some of those were fugly. As far as the bar goes, I am glad there is a spot for a real drink at CP. To the people that complain that there is booze near a kids area. You do realize that at any given point the majority of children at the park were conceived on booze! :)
Boo, sir. Boo. I loved those things. I think they're charming and it's nice to see a few still exist (I think the Blue Streak superhero is in somebody's private collection now.)
I hope the DD demon is still around. He was my favorite.
Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.
The current signs are the fugly ones. There was nothing wrong with the unique, cute and creative cartoon signs.
I don't know which one was my favorite but it would have to be between the pigtailed Schwabinchen marionette or the Monster depicted as an octopus with 8 orange sneakers.
It's too bad Melt couldn't get hold of that Hoss Cartwright lookin' Mean Streak sign....
