I will be heading to the Point next week. I know it is still pretty early in the season, but I was wondering if anyone has any info on how the major rides are fairing so far as regards downtime? For example, is Maverick downtime looking better than last year? I only have a few days there and would like a heads up on what might be hard to get on.
By the way, I know Wild Cat is down until further notice due to the incident.
Thanks PB'ers!
my friend went last Thursday and he said that Maverick was down all day, TTD went down multiple times while he was waiting in line, and maXair died mid-course while he was on it.
I was just at the park yesterday and everything was up and running just fine. Dragster and Millennium had ten-minute hiccups and MaxAir went down around 4:30 for scheduled maintenance but opened up by 5:45. Maverick was running like a dream.
I was there yesterday and all the ride were working great. Only maxair was down, but now that you said it was scheduled maintenance, then I guess everyride was fine.
Yeah last Thursday, and Friday Maverick didn't open ether on of those days. It ran in morning before the ERT started, then it didn't open.
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
Monday was a great day! Every ride was open and no rides had major breakdowns. The only problems were: I was on TTD in the morning and it took 10 minutes for our train to launch. Not a big deal. Also, Magnum went down while we were on it so they could change a wheel. It took 15 minutes. Again not a big deal.
Maverick was running great all day. MaXair was perfect also.
You should be good.
Let's Get Weird.
Your Mom is too fat to ride:
You were there June 1st? I was there and TTD went down like 10 minutes after opening up...they didn't even have more than 4 rows I think running and the ride went down until almost noon.
He said he was there on Monday which would have been June 2.
I was there on Sunday, and despite the approx. 1 1/2 hour down time in the morning, the short lines on TTD the rest of the day more than made up for it.
