Ride & Refresh Wristbands?

I was checking out the "Plan Your Visit - FAQ's" section of the CP website, and see there is a question about where the Ride & Refresh Wristbands can be redeemed, but no information about what they are.

Does anyone happen to know what the Ride & Refresh Wristband is?

I believe they're limited to group sales.

Back in December 2013 on Cyber Monday, CP offered a deal for "2014 Ride and Refresh" tickets for individuals. I also wondered how this works exactly and where they can be redeemed. Does it involve buying a souvenir cup and you get free refills, or am I way off track?

Maybe Tony or someone else who has had one of these before can help me here since the website only says: "Ride & Refresh vouchers may be redeemed at any of the park's quick serve locations." Any help would be appreciated... THANKS!

P.S. - I did tweet Tony to see if he could tell me any more info. If I hear anything, I'll pass it along.

EDIT: added P.S.

Not sure about the group sales part but my Credit Union sells these. They sell discounted tickets that are good any day or for an exta $4.99 you can get a Ride & Refresh ticket which is a "good any day" adult admission ticket that also entitles you to a drink wristband. The drink wristband allows you to get unlimited 20 oz soft drinks through out the day. I've never bought the ticket myself as I have a Platinum pass but some of my friends have and I believe you take the ticket to the ticket booths when you get there and they give you the wristband. I'm sure other places that sell discount tickets may have them but I'm not sure where since I've never seen them outside of my Credit Union.

When we were at Michigan's Adventure yesterday, and I checked out their souvenir/refill options.

First of all, they filled the CP cups we had no questions asked. The prices for theirs were similar. $14.99/12.99/9.99 depending on how many you bought.

Also, they had another option where you can pay 5 bucks and get your cup refilled all day (in addition to the normal 99 cent per refill option). Good deal!

I wish CP would offer these wristbands all the time. I'd probably even pay a bit more than $5 (up to maybe $8 or so) for drinks all day without having to mess with carrying around the stupid cup. I always think the soda tastes bad when you suck it through the plastic cup/straw anyway.

I know they do it with group sales (we had the option at Coastermania), but I don't believe they offer them to regular guests everyday. Maybe I'm wrong. I honestly haven't asked. They certainly don't advertise it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Make it $20-$25 to add a season soft drink plan to my Platinum Pass and I'd gladly hand it over. I'm not one to drink soda in the park, especially at current prices. However, if priced fairly like the dining plan, I would definitely take advantage of it.

I really wish they would have iced tea, because I don't drink pop. If they did, I would gladly pay $20-$25 for an all season drink plan.

They do have a Coca-Cola product marketed as iced tea at most stands. It's not fresh brewed tea or anything, and it's got high fructose corn syrup, but it's technically iced tea. I believe it's Fuse brand.

I just saw something on the website, that says if you but a one day ticket online, you get unlimited soft drinks for the whole day.

It could just be a limited time offer. Currently the online price ($10 off gate at $49.99) is a ride and refresh package including one day admission and drink wristband.

We purchased Ride and Refresh tickets online for yesterday's visit to CP and I really enjoyed being able to walk up to any dining location and get a drink. I wish they would have the bands as an option that you can purchase because we're probably going to get season passes next year. I really don't have any interest in buying souvenir cups to carry around all day but if they sold the bands (either daily, for the season, or both) we'd probably opt for that if it were reasonable.
