Camper Village reservations are open all the way through Halloweekends. Since there will be an obvious shortage of sites this year, we went ahead and booked all 5 of our extended trips this year including closing weekend.

All those sites and revenue will be lost for 7 busy weekends of Halloweekends? Can a new attraction in Soak City generate more business, or just please the people that are already going?

I would pay attention to Tony's presentation at the ACE No Coaster Con this Saturday. He's been hinting on Twitter that he will be making a few announcements. He used the word "major," and replied to someone who asked about the camping circle being closed with "more information coming very soon."
If I had to throw a guess out there, I'd say it's getting an upgrade. They said at the PointBuzz Q&A that there were no plans for Soak City in the foreseeable future. It was also announced in a conference call that two parks would be receiving more cottages, and those weren't identified. Just something to think about, we'll hopefully know soon.
