Does anyone know if I can substitute my 2 Cedar Point admission tickets (and 2 starlight tickets) for Soak City tickets?
If not, is it possible to sell the tickets? I have a MaxxPass so I shouldn't need them but it would be nice to get something back since Hotel Breakers costs so much :|
Why don't you just not pay the extra money for the package then? You can pay for the hotel room alone, the package is optional.
Yeah, I agree. My brother got the package deal earlier this year and was trying to sell his tickets in the parking lot. Security caught him and took the tickets.
I don't know that you'd be able to substitute your tickets, but resort guests get discounts on tickets to both CP and SC, I believe.
As for selling them, well, good luck! However, your situation begs the question (in addition to the very obvious one above) - if money is that much of a concern, why not stay off property and save yourself the money?

Djdaemon, yeah but its actually cheaper to buy tickets in Michigan because we don't pay taxes on the tickets.
Also the package deals from cedar point you "cannot turn down". For $17 more I got the package deal and $17 more got me (2) one day CP fun-day passes. 2 starlight CP passes, $30 in food money, 4 challenge tickets, and 2 buy one get one soak city passes.
So even if you just make use of a little of your package....
Your not the only one though with extra package stuff.
I have 2 extra starlight tickets atleast and maybe one buy one get one soak city...
Thats funny you cna get in trouble for selling tickets in the parking lot.....my dad suggested I do that to get rid of the tickets, and to make better progress through lines hes like "Why don't you wait in one ride, and then Ana waits in another and then yadda yadda".....I am like dad jebus fluck I can plan my trip without getting kicked out of the park thank you very much.
Its not like its a concert show and we are scalping people.

Works out cheaper to buy tickets in Michigan then in Ohio with taxes.
I purchased my tickets in Michigan at Meijer and they didn't tax me on them.
But you can buy cheaper beer, and illegal fireworks in Ohio so it all blends perfectly in the end.
Hotel Breakers isn't that bad for pricing. We got in for $141 a night with a coupon. The package makes it a extremely good deal. We could get in for even cheaper if we stayed in Bon-Air section.
If your going this weekend (24-27), we will buy your extra one day tickets for soak city tickets. *** Edited 8/23/2007 2:21:43 PM UTC by factory81***
For some reason the package ended up a dollar or two cheaper than not getting the package.. but at about 200 a night for Hotel Breakers it felt a little expensive but since it's my first trip to Cedar Point I kind of wanted to enjoy myself.
I guess I won't try to sell the tickets out in the open if they have security looking out for that stuff..
factory81 I'd sell you tickets to Soak City but all I have is a coupon (which I will probably use). I'd like it if I could trade in my Cedar Point tickets for Soak City tickets!
At the risk of sounding rude, you're not making any sense. On one hand, $200/night for lodging is worth it, but you're trying to scalp tickets that you're essentially getting for -$2. Furthermore, you're concerned about spending money on Soak City tickets?
You could save $100/night by staying at Breakers Express instead.
EDITED for grammar.

I am a Maxx Pass holder and whenever I book a room package deal at breakers I usually just hand the tickets to a family in line at the entrance. It seems to make their day and it is still cheaper for me.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it.
Piss on it and walk away.
I don't consider the tickets -$2 because I think the room is overpriced in general. Overall I thought that the extra hundred would be worth the convenience for my first trip (plus at BE you have to pay for parking everyday).
Basically I'm just splurging while trying to minimize my costs given that I have Cedar Point tickets that I don't need and I want Soak City tickets that I will have to pay for.
Follow kbp's advice and make someone's day. Then, 'splurge' one more time for those oh-so-expensive Soak City tickets.
Brandon
The park doesn't offer Soak City tickets as part of a package (which is a shame during the summer).
He wasn't being rude, he's just pointing out that you keep bouncing off the same wall expecting something different. The rooms are a bit over-priced, but you're paying for location, and personally I think it's worth it.
I'd check Ebay. Not sure if they have anything this late in the season, but you never know.
