Renew pass today or wait for spring?

So we missed the opportunity to renew our pass at the end of the season and then they extended the sale until today (minus the fast pass incentive). I'm half inclined to wait until spring to see if there will be another incentive to renew- has that been practice in the past? I'm also wondering how much the "lowest price" is today, compared to a few months from now. If anyone has any insight, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm not trying to be cheap, but it's nice to wait until spring as I usually receive it as a mother's day gift ;)

Hard to make the decision for you considering we don't know the next pass price point. Does it go to $185? $200? I tend to try to get them at the lowest price of the season. Also, your 2016 plans may dictate when you renew. As your pass is valid for 2016 as soon as you renew. There are a few CF parks that open before Point, for example, I will be in LA in March. Will I have time to visit Knotts? How knows? (currently not on my park agenda as I will be hitting some parks that are 'new to me' instead.) But I could if I want to with my pass.

If you don't mind paying a little extra and have no plans to use your pass until Point opens in May, it could be better just to hold off.

The price will NOT go down between now and the Spring.

Traditionally, the prices are hiked after the end of the season, again at about New Year, and again when the park opens for the season. Once the park opens, you will pay full price, whatever that happens to be.

I Agree with RideMan....prices will NOT go down. As a rule, the sooner you purchase, the cheaper they are.

We have always got the season pass taken care of in Oct during Halloweekend.

#1- Prices are a bit cheaper.

#2- We always put them on the tree for Christmas...as a gift, that way Im the good Mom and I get credit for a nice present :) (I always pull the renewed cards or certificates and keep them until Santa delivers them) I have done this for years -my kid is 23- Yeah, it's been done for a while

I dont remember any special offers for later pass purchases, but, you never know what the parks will do to promote themselves.

I thought of the same thing, but decided to renew on closing weekend. Might as well get the lowest price possible knowing there's several trips to CP planned for next season. Also had Fury325 on my mind and tentatively planning a trip to Carowinds. :)

There could possibly be a few more deals before the park opens in the spring. For instance, I believe there were deals on passes for black friday and Christmas. Maybe check the prices then. I unfortunately forgot to renew my pass as well before the deal ended...

EDIT:
They already have a Christmas sale going on.

It's 6 payments of $21 which is equivalent, If I am not wrong, to the deal that was going on the past week... 9 payments of $14. Sneaky
