Remember the promo for Wicked Twister?

Does anyone remember the promo's for Wicked Twister. I don't remember any except for the KFC Wicked Twister Wrap, or something like that. Plus, I didn't get into CP or coasters until just last year. Was there commercials like TTD? Just curious if the hype was big.

I only remember the News channel 5 in cleveland had a story on it like 1 week before it opened. That's all i remember.

The hype for Wicked Twister wasn't nearly as big as MF or TTD. There was mainly a few ads on TV and in the news the featured animated clips of Wicked Twister. I have a video saved on my computer from a topic from a few months ago that had the thrill chasers thing on it. It was all for Wicked Twister.

Not exactly about WT, but speaking of CP promos/ads...
Does anyone remember some television ads back from the 80's?
I can faintly remember one with "Ain't No Cure For The Summertime Blues" playing in the background showing various rides. I remember a couple in a ride car, maybe Demon Drop or Corkscrew with their hair standing straight up looking terrified?. Or another that ran during bonus weekends... "The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting longer..." it would show the corkscrew going over the midway and then transforming into the same shot of the corkscrew but during the dead of winter, with an empty, snowy midway. Spark anyone's memory?

Sounds familiar. Not that I would remember from back then, I'm way too young(almost 16). I think my dad talked about promos of Cedar Point during that time, just a bit ago actually, when the current CP commercial was on tv. I'll ask him again. Also, my dad talked about Geauga Lake commercials from the past. He said there was a song he sang a bit, unfortunately, but he forgot most of it. Does anyone remember these commercial songs of Geauga Lake before it became a Six Flags park?

As i remeber there was not much hipe. I remeber seeing the ads and them not really talking about it.

There was somthing along the lines of "Thrill Riders" and a Jeep Wrangler in a Wicked Twister commercial. Other than that WT recieved little hype.

I am glad there was little hype, just as I am glad the ride gets little hype today. That is mid-day-walk-on as I wait for the Raptor line to die down. It is simply the best coaster that (to the general public) no one knows about.

I remember one where there where two guys and a girl, talking about how they would love to conquer Wicked Twister. I guess the three were on a Thrill Team or something, and they always went to Cedar Point. I know I"m confusing everyone here...lol.

I download that promo a while ago from the company that made it. Here's how it went:
