Remember the orange jumpsuits?

They were worn by the Disaster Transport girls during the first few years of the rides operation. Later the ride had another different uniform than the normal red and blue. They looked a lot like hotel bellhop uniforms. Also several rides had different uniforms in the last such as the train and Camp Snoopy areas. Also until the early 1990s rides in Frontiertown had orange and brown uniforms instead of the red and blue.

Does anyone remember the uniforms rides wore until 2000. They looked nice but they were very uncomfortable to wear. Gald they got ride of them.

Speculation is that the MEN who decided on the orange jumpsuits had less than noble intentions when they picked them out.

Such as?

Dressing and other basic, everyday needs was slightly incumbered with those outfits. I'll leave it to your imagination to consider the consequences.

C'mon, when DT was new, I was nothing more than a meek little toddler and have no idea what you're talking about, as in as to why only women wore the orange "jumpsuits" for the ride. What were they supposed to be dressed as anyway?

I don't get it. Was it difficult to use the bathroom?

That's because the crew was all women. I don't remember which rides were which, but the ride crews were segregated so that you had all male and all female crews and no mixed crews.

Yes, they basically had to disrobe to use the bathroom.

Kinda like wearing a GS suit when you're ski racing?

Didn't Paddlewheel used to have captain's uniforms back in the day too?

Cedar point in the 90's cracks me up. I'm guessing the DT crew must look like poor imitations of astronauts or something. :)

^ That was the point.

I liked the orange hotpants the Sweeperettes used to wear!!!

Those orange and brown shirts we wore in Frontier Town where hotter than he**. As if it wasn't already hot at the Point during the summer. Up on the Frontier Lift in Frontier Town without any air circulation made it even worse. I remember on the CP & LE RR, the girls wore navy blue striped uniforms that looked great on the train. Now Ride OP uniforms look generic.
