Remember the "Little Dipper"?

This was a first coaster at an amusement park. It was a kiddie coaster but a big thrill for a 7 year old. I have been trying for years to find any facts about the ride. I have not seen a picure of it since it was removed after the 1975 season to make way for the Zyclone coaster. I can not remember if it was wood or steel. I think it had a double oval layout. Any help with info would be appriciated.
Hey man I know where that coaster is! It's a steel coaster that goes around in an oval while going up and down hills. It is located at a children's park named "Memphis Kiddie Park" on Memphis road in Cleveland.

For some reason, I have a memory of a coaster called the Little Dipper but I have no idea where I was or how old I was. I wonder if I maybe went to Memphis Kiddie Pakr when I was younger.

There is a kiddie rollercoaster at Conneaut Lake Park called the Little Dipper.

You know, I can't remember that ride at Memphis, which is weird because I know I went there as a kid a few times in the mid to late 70's. Granted, I was a real baby in my younger years about riding anything.

The thing that I still think of, and can visualize in its spot, is the old Corkscrew.

What time does the water show start?

Soeaking of the old Corkscrew while looking on RCDB I found a website of the park in India it currently operates, Its now red and teal. Pretty nice looking actually.

Also, for some reason I remember a coaster named Little Dipper at GLP, however Im much to young to have ever been there while it operated. Was there ever a second coaster named Little Dipper in the late 80's that was removed?

Ah are we talking about this coaster on the right of this old park map? http://members.tripod.com/sfohio/images/79GLmap_800.jpg
Actually coasterzak, the coaster in the map you linked to is the Zyclone (Pinfari Zyklon 48) which replaced the Little Dipper for the 1976 season. It lasted at the park until 1980 and was replaced by a Chance Rotor in 1981. I have the GL Little Dipper as a coaster credit because I remember riding it and my parents do as well... however none of us can remember if it was wood or steel!

Thanks Ray, that was much before my time, honest mistake. Here is a map with how things would have been a few years before it moved out. http://members.tripod.com/sfohio/images/GL72map.jpg

Check out that site some, there are some great old pictures. Coasterdad did an awesome job with the 'time machine.' http://members.tripod.com/sfohio/CD_Time_Machine.htm

Thanks coasterzak! Look for the NEW Time Machine coming soon.

I really do not remember the Little Dipper at old GL, although I do remember one by the same name at Chippewa. If anyone has a picture of GL's Little Dipper I sure would love to see it and possibly add it to the GL Time Machine.

Glad I could help promote your time machine. You keep a great collection of coasters. I'm excited for the new additions!
