Remember the Chicken Patio?

This used to be my favorite place to eat lunch at Cedar Point. Sometimes the chicken was a little dry but for park food it was good. I also liked the atmosphere of the place. When I was little I think the barn was red and reminded me of the old Red Barn fast food restaurants, which was my favorite place to eat.

I remember reading in the threads that CP was asking guests questions about opening a new chicken stand. A Mrs. Knotts chicken, or something of the sort. So maybe your childhood dreams can become new dreams!

The chicken stand I miss is the one removed for MF. It was a staple of every trip to eat the BBQ chicken which I prefer over fried any day.

I think the Chicken Pation was really good for a filling and tasty little meal. It wasn't quite too much on the fast food side and didn't have the committment of having to sit down and spend time like in a full service place.

I was quite disappointed when it was taken out, but Midway Market, to me, has the best affordable sit-down food. If you are ever looking for a nice meal and want to take the time, the Bay Harbor has excellent food if you're willing to pay for it. It's worth it.

I hope they do put another chicken place in. The food station by the Mantis has pretty decent chicken strips.

Cedar Point is closed for the season. Reason? Freezin!

Just the smell floating down the frontier trail or smelling that stand while riding Giant Wheel was enough to make me hungry every time.

One of the great smells I miss..
