Does anybody remember that big blue slide they had? I remember, there was no MF, Mantis, Raptor, Camp Snoopy, and Snake River. I use to love it! That was my favorite ride, along with Millrace
I loved this ride. Coudn't believe they replaced it with that silly playground. Remember the miniature golf course next to it? I liked the miniature Demon Drop obstacle. The slide is memorable as it marked my family's first and only trip to the first aid station. My sister accidently touched the slide on her way down. Got a nice little burn.
My summer trip to CP wasn't complete without a fiberglass friction burn from the slide.. Pushing off fast as you can to see if you can get airtime on the second drop.. Only finding out once airborn, you float and soar through the air as smooth and romanticaly as a 4 ton boulder being dropped off of the side of the Worlds Trade Center.
------------- MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - ???????
I really don't remember this ride. Maybe it was before my time. They have a much larger one here in Detroit at Bell Isle. Its called the giant slide.
------------- You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
Yeah, that ride was my favorite back then, right behind the Gemini. I remember being very picky when choosing a potato sack out of the bin. There not really potato sacks, that just what I called them.
I loved that thing! Great childhood memories I have there! It did seem like it was dangerous though.
------------- Live for FUN!
GO SHAMROCKS! GO WOLVERINES!
Right behind Gemini? I remember it being in the current location of Peanuts Playground. Has it had several locations or do you consider Peanuts Playground to be "behind Gemini?"
I loved that slide... of course it's no Ohio State Fair giant slide.. but it still brings back fond childhood memories :)
