Reliability?

I was wondering if Millennium Force is usually running because if both this AND ttd are down it won't be to good, still 14 other coasters, but the highlights of the park would be missing..thanks!
It seems to run quite well while I'm in the park, wether or not I'm just lucky, I don't know.

I don't think its been down ever when I've been their, but I guess I've only been their 4 times, and once was before it was in the park.
It has been up every time I have been there. Ask Chris, he just took his 100th ride so he may be able to tell you a little more.

It has actually had a lot more downtime this year then last year it seems. Its still almost always up though.

When it goes down how long about does it stay down? I have to ride it when I go next week.
I didn't really want to start a new topic on this, but i went to CP back in May and Mille seemed very slow and was barely making it over the last overbanked turn. I'm heading back next week. Is it running full speed now?

Was the train loaded with people? Probably not.

Millennium Force has had some down time this year, it is back up and running in about 20-30 min. It's never been down for a long period of time when I go and ride it. As for Mille running slow, it depends a lot on the weather. The hotter it gets outside the faster the trains run. The colder the slower. This has been true since it first opened.

I'd rate Millennium as being very reliable. It's certainly not Raptor or Magnum, which seem to never break down, but it's got a lot of uptime.

Who the Millennium Force ride ops made a special announcement for when he took his 100th ride on 8/12/03.

I've actually seen Raptor broke down twice this year and Magnum once. I have not seen Millennium Force down.

Egg nog... how'd they think that up?

Isn't Millennium Force due for a cable break next month? ;)

MilleNNium is spelled with two n's people!

MF is a very reliable ride, I think its pretty safe to say it's had 99% uptime this year.

I sure hope I'm not there for that!

Ok, here it goes: Whoever said that it was bearly crawling over the last turn has some very... very bad judgement of speed... yes, it may look slow, just how when TTD is running how it is sapposed to be, it looks like it crawls over the top, but it is actually going 20 some mph, it just looks slow becasue you were just seeing it go 120.

Millenium Force's Average speed is very fast, and the last turn is at the most 50-60 feet off the ground... and uhhh... it just came down a pretty big hill, through a tunnel, around a turn, over a little buny hop, and around a slight bend... and you are going to tell me its not going to go over the last turn? Sure... I'll believe that when I am pointing a radar gun at it and its saying "2 MPH" It usually flys past the queue line going very well in excess of 40 mph, and that cant take it up a little incline and through a turn thats banked heavily? ok... sure

I'd bet that TTD has never and will never go over the top at 20 mph, atleast with riders onboard.

Have you ever been on MF in the earily part of the season or late October when the weather is colder? If so then you would know that MF runs slower, as I stated before. I have been on MF in October when it not only crawled around the final turn, but it felt like it did not have enough speed to make it over the 182 & 169 foot hills on the Island. I would not say that their judgement is bad. I would say that you need to experience the Force in all weather conditions and then make your decision. I know that I have.

Going in to the last turn of Millennium Force the ride has been clocked around 67 mph. It is true that the ride does not run as fast in the morning when the wheels are still cool. This is true for all rides with the "rubber" wheels. (No, I don't pretend to know what substance is used)
