Reflections

We've known about this ride since the middle of August. We've been anticipating the announcement ever since then. Has anyone realized that after today there's no more calling it "#16," "Dragster" (unless that's the name of course), and "CP's mystery coaster"?

For the people like me who will be waking up tommorrow morning at 5:00am just to find out the name of this ride and the specs, do you realize that we will know what the people in the "hush hush" have been keeping from us all this time?

If I had some angel music for my stereo, I'd be playing it the whole time as I booted my computer, opened internet explorer, and went to my homepage (www.cedarpoint.com). Before the page loads though, I will be taking in several deep breaths and I'm sure I will almost begin to cry. So when you wake up tommorrow morning, realize that they are just about to announce the tallest, fastest, most stupifying coaster ever built in the history of the world. And I do give credit (hell, I'd give everything) to Cedar Point, America's rockin' roller coast!

Anyway, if you haven't figured it out yet, the point of this thread is to poor your heart out and share any feelings that you are having and maybe some memories to laugh/cry/wonder at/about from anticipating this new roller coaster.

ya, um, I think you have really taken it too far...

check to make sure the months of anticipation havent caused brain damage. I mean, Crying over the announcement??

However, I do anxiously await to hear the name and stats, and if theyre doing anything else. I guess all these months have both built up and destroyed a bunch of my anticipation, but we'll see tomorrow morning :)

I'm actually almost as interested as finding out the smaller things that will (hopefully) come tomorrow. Such as the relocation of Chaos and Troika, the changes in Paddlewheel, and any other little things that may come out tomorrow.

I think that's pretty sincere, Peter Soint! I am just as anxious as anybody else here. I would not be surprised if CP's site got a record number of hits tomorrow!

um mister soint? it's a ride. sure it's big...but cry over an announcement that's not a surprise? i mean...you already know how tall it is. how much more emotion can there be?

EDIT: and what's with this angel crap? play something that kicks your ass (metallica, iced earth, etc)... -OR-play something you'd want everyone on the causeway to hear...ya know... like me blowing the speakers in my s10 to Indiana Jones. (if any of you think you hear indi's music playing...it's me...you wouldn't believe the looks you get with that)

Hey, I joined here for the new ride discussion. I remember reading in Screamscape.com the beginning of last summer about a new coaster being built. No name. No nothing. Then more and more, then, nothing. Silence. Now here we are. A coaster that'll have Nagashima Spa Land and SFMM crying and every coaster lover flocking to America's Roller Coast.

Peter, I knew you were 'different' but come on. What part of "you've posted 42 times in 3 days, SHUT UP!" didn't you understand? People weren't just saying that for ****s and giggles. They really meant it. We are all entitled to our own opinions, no matter how off the wall and idiotic they are, but we really do not want to hear your dramatic relationship with #16. I wouldn't be surprised to see a homemade 'centerfold' poster of 16 up on your bedroom door right now. We get it, you have no apparent life outside of this new ride. I hope she doesn't break your heart someday when you go and the ride op tells you "you must be past this yellow line to ride" and denies you your one true love. Go outside and get some air man.

Peace I'm Out

Alright Peter, when one of your posts gets closed, can't you take a hint? I think Mr. Touchie Feelie needs to consider that IP's are probably logged (for BANning purposes, of course).

I'm quite excited. Tomorrow I'll be doing the exact same thing that I did last year with Wicked Twister: wake up, sign onto AOL (don't poke fun), hopefully get either *official* pictures and/or concept art, print it out, and later on post it on my locker for all to see.

In the meantime, my bed calls my name...
