Refillable cups?

I was just wondering if anyone here knows if cedar point allows you to bring a cup in that you bought on a different day or do they have some system to make sure that you dont? (probably a dumb question but I would like to know. I am going tomorrow and want to know if I should bother takeing it.)

They sell MaxAir Souvenir cups that you can bring back into the park and refill. However, they do charge for the refill. I do believe the refill price is somewhat cheaper.

In 2003, they had really sweet TTD Souvenir cups that could be bought for $15, but then you could refill it as many times as you wanted for the rest of the season. That was so awesome, I must have filled mine up over 40 times. Wished theyd bring that back. Heck, I would pay $25 if they still had that offer of free refills going.

A Maxair refill costs 1.99, which will save you $5.00 in bottled pop (Maxair cups hold 40 ounces).

Edit: As opposed to paying $5.00 for 2 bottles of pop, you pay $1.99 for a refill, saving you $3.01. *** Edited 7/23/2006 4:13:26 AM UTC by Twisted Wicker***

Not to be confused with Twisted Wicker 08 from 2002

I have one i was just wondering if they let you take them back to the park on a different day. Thanks for the answers though.

I got a free suvenier cup from Geauga Lake. Would I be able to bring that in the park? Refills are the same price at both parks. Just curious.

Yes to Cedar Point24/7 and no to keith 2005. Only negative about refill cups are needing lockers for many rides. Just ask any ride op!

Yea, it was bad when they had the free refill ones. We were forced to make everyone either finish or pour theirs out next to the stairs on Magnum and it ended up smelling horrible over there. And that year, EVERYONE had them because if you refilled it like 4 times, it was already paid for. Typical people probably buy at least 3 drinks a day.

If they could come up with a better container for the refillable drinks - something that could seal ala a pepsi bottle and then could be put into a bin or something and not get spilled all over, that might be alright.

^Wish they would, I miss my refillable TTD.

I still have my TTD cup. Maybe they will bring it back for the next coaster.

i collect those cups... i started with power tower. i get every new one from every park i go to. i have all colors of the ttd, although 3 of them broke. i got a maXair one but i want to know why there is not a skyhawk one or any new one this year for that matter. it really upsets me.

hehe, I've still got my TTD cup from '04 :) But I didn't get to ride until this year :(

Just forget refillable cups. Soda isn't good for you when you're constantly walking anyway. Especially on a hot day.

Just go and get the free cups of ice water. When I went last Summer, I ended up doing that about 15 times! haha

Yeah, I know... I should know better as soda kinda goes right through me (TMI, I know), but I'm addicted. I think it's the caffeine! Ah, feel the burn of the drugs...

i love the free water, but not alot of people know about it. i think cp should use that to thier advantage. let as many people know about it as they can.

ofcourse that could be a prob because it would down size the sell of water bottles.

The bottles sell for what... $2.59? And free ice water sells for what... $0.00? Yeah, they really don't want you to know about it.

Ever notice when you ask for a cup of water, they make sure you mean you want a cup and not a bottle?

And the caffeine will actually make you more dehydrated.

I don't care if soda is good for me or not when I am at Cedar Point. When I am at CP, nothing else really matters, I'll worry about drinking more water the other 6 days of the week during my boring life.

Hey, thanks for sticking up for me!

Well, seeing as I've only been there three times ever, all of which over the past three years, I'm not too in danger of drinking too much soda at the park :) How else am I gonna keep my mind sane when in line for TTD? Caffeine!! Hehe the drug that pretends not to be one, how mysterious! lol Okay, I'm weird...

Out

I have to endure the 100+mi car ride with my family, can't I at least have something? ;)
