As before, the seats will be auctioned off the the highest bidders on our web site

Put my bid in, I thought that I should do something useful with some of my Tax Return.

I wish they'd put the 72 seats on the web page so you can select which seat you would like to bid on. Also, put what order in which the trains will dispatch so that the first train may garner a higher bid and us el cheapos can just bid on the last train.

Ride on, MrScott!
The highest bidder gets his/her choice of seat, then #2 picks, and so on. You won't know what seat you're in until the morning of the event.
Oh no, I understand how it works.
I just wish they would at least post the highest and lowest bids.

You think that would force a bidding war and thus make them more money. I guess the Red Cross doesn't want our money.

The top 72 bids will eventually be listed.
Walt beat me to it, but yes they will eventualy be posted. They have to call and verify payment method on every bid. So if there were a ton of initial bids, it could take a while to do the verification. IIRC once they started listing the bids for Skyhawk, the updates were nearly every day. But it is far from a real time auction. So bid early and bid high. :)

How high did the bids get for Skyhawk? I'd be willing to bid some but not more than a few hundred dollars. I'm not made of money here but getting one of the first rides would be amazing!
I belive it was somewhere around 500 or 550. I was at 105 for Skyhawk. I feel safe in saying that with over 3 weeks of bidding left, my bid last year of 105 won't have a chance this year.
