Well, about the TV ads: it's one thing to say it's either corporate (which it is) and dislike that, or that it's lazy. I too miss the personal Cedar Point "summertime blues" commercials.
But the argument presented is that they are somehow misleading.
That I find to be ridiculous.
And what Sam mentioned above is not an ad; it's a decorative picture on the website.

Cedar Point has coasters to show off, so why don't they then?
Because no one cares (aside from a few enthusiasts with FAR too much time on their hands).

The same photo -- dad, son, two red loops, appears on the ticket landing page for Cedar Point, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Island, Michigan's Adventure...pretty much every park except Knott's, which showcases Snoopy.
Since the websites are handled by corporate rather than the individual parks, makes sense to me they would use a generic photo/layout.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
Using stock photos for a webpage is a lot less misleading than showing artwork for your park's new coaster that makes a Vekoma boomerang look like a full circuit coaster.
I'm guessing that's a Six Flags St. Louis reference :)

Oh no. Cedar Point used pictures of roller coasters not in their park, call the authorities!!!!
On a more serious note, does it bother me: a little.
Do I really sit around and complain about it: no.

It's not a mistake. CF puts those pictures in that way to see who has far too much spare time on their hands.
I can't even turn on the TV anymore without them getting me. Every Valleyfair commercial last year showed Mantis, among other coasters I'm 100% sure Valleyfair doesn't have.
So other parks use Cedar point videos and pictures while we use theirs. Sounds like a waste of time and money to me.
Cedar Fair uses pictures of coasters that aren't even at their parks. That part I don't get.

Does anyone know where that Arrow looper in the photo is located?
