Recent Performance?

I'm flying home to Michigan this week, and I'll be at CP either Monday or Tuesday of next week. This probably being the only time I'll make it to the park this year, I'm really anxious to ride WT. I haven't heard if the problems have been ironed out with the ride, or if it's still on a day-to-day basis. Any info or suggestions (ie: hit the ride early in case it goes down later) would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've seen lately, it usually runs everyday, but it is very unreliable. Chances are it will be down at some point. So, if you see it running, get in line right away, and hope it keeps running until you ride.

I rode on Sat gang and YES it was drastically altered from when we rode on MD and not the same ride, but ya know it still is a great rush and a Fun ride even toned down!

I have to agree with Jeff, WT isn't the same as it was at the beginning of the season, but it's definitely not bad either. The last few times I've been there (the past two weekends, mainly) it's been running pretty consistently. I have to give CP credit for running the ride at less power and keeping it open as much as possible, instead of the alternative, which would be shutting it down completely.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed that WT returns to its wicked self if and when they work all the bugs out of it. There's nothing sadder than seeing a good ride not run to its full potential, even when it's structurally capable of it.

Ya, I rode it Sun. (yesterday) and it was up all day without any problems(can't say that much for MF). But it was a different ride from the first time I rode it.
The second time through the station going up the front spike seemed to have a lot more acceleration than before. I liked that part but the rest has changed a lot but it is still a great ride.

It was running today, but far from what it is capable of doing.
They toned WT down? man that sucks I don't think I'll be riding it again for a while.

Frankly, I'd prefer it running a bit toned down than not running at all.

Good Point however it does take away from the original performance but if it for saftey than I am more than willing to sacrifice the speed for safety.

I'm new here, so forgive my ignorance. I attended CP Saturday, July 13th, and WT was running all day. I managed to ride it five times. Anyway, what is different about it now than at the beginning of the season? How was it toned down? I thought that it was awesome the way it is.

It used to go all the way up the rear spike, now it barely reaches half-way on the first trip, and may go 3/4 of the way on the second trip.

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

Welp, I finally made it there. I was there on Monday, and got 4 rides on WT. The first two trips, the train was barely making it up to the platform at the top of the supports on the first launch out of the station.

I got two trips on it much later in the day, and it was running much faster. Both trips the front car was going well past that platform, and the ride was just insane. And the last ride, I got myself in the very last seat.... that was an incredible ride.

Saturday (7-20) it was running at the 3/4 speed in the middle of the day, but by 9:30pm, it was running at full power for the first time in a long time (that I was there for ... )
We definitely twisted on the back spike in the front seat on the 4th launch - and you don't do that unless its lauching full power.

I noticed yesterday that the welding tools seem to have become a permanent thing there. Rather than putting it all away and draging it back out when they need it like they've been doing, they've just left it all there. Cranes, trucks, lines wraping up the support to the maintenance platform for the welding torches, and some other stuff is all lying about the rear spike.
