Really Weird Ads

That is bizarre. Ads like that really rrruuuuhhhb me the wrong way. They're arrrfully ridiculous.

Apparently the ads are effective, as it seems to be a constant complaining point here.

Wouldn't effective mean I click on them?

Depends on if he's getting paid for clicks or for impressions.

Not to start a new topic, but on the subject of ads, is there anything that can be done about the video ads on the side? It's like going to a 90s website with background music! When I have 10 tabs open, it's a pain to find the page it's coming from.

Agreed, I was just coming over here to say something about it. I understand you've got to pay for things somehow, but I tend to open multiple topics at a time to read and then at least half of them have ads that start playing. I have to find them and pause them because the sound is so annoying.

Anyone happen to notice the Verizon ad on the news section is in Spanish?

Edit: It seems any Verizon ad on here is in Spanish. The banner across the top is also.
