Really Close...

Has anyone else noticed how close WT is to Lake Erie? I was checking the cams this morning and noticed that the waves were going past that last peice of track to be hung. They have completly covered a bulldozer too.

Its close but not that close. I'm sure the waves was either High Tide or very unusual. Theres a lot of beach between the two.

It's a long walk from the ride to the water. Granted, lake levels are really low and we won't see them peak again for a decade, but it's not even remotely close.

Looking at the webcam right now.........oh  you missed it, there are some waves-ice coming up past those pieces of track. It would be pretty funny if they washed away and someone had to retrieve them out of the water. Well, I'm going to go shovel the 10" of snow and ice I have in my driveway. It was 60 degrees 3 days ago! God I love Michigan.

Be sure you use a snowblower on that snow and ice... shoveling it is a b!tch. Take my word for it.

"How YOU Doin'?" ;)

A little exercise never hurt anyone...

Good thing I told my mom to move our new truck from under an iced up tree...a couple hours later, several huge branches fell down right where it had been while I was going out and getting the paper.

I would MUCH rather be riding Coasters at the Point than dealing with this winter crap in Michigan!  WHY do I continue to live here?   LOL!  8" of snow today, 1/2 inch of Freezing Rain coming tonight.  More snow tomorrow.

Ah, for the days of summer...

I needed to shovel. Both the offseaon and working at a pizza place are catching up to me. I have about 4 branches in my driveway already so I dug a path into the back yard and put my car back there. Hopefully tomorow is the last of this.

I hear ya everybody. I commonly ask myself that same question. Why do I still continue to live here? The weather is so unpredictable and when bad weather hits it's never good. I can't even use the snowblower on my driveway because it won't be able to work on the snow because it's got a layer of ice over and under it. So I have to shovel and that's not good on my back believe me. That storm is heading towards Cedar Point because those waves have been white capping in the picture. Most of the time, when the waves white cap in the Great Lakes, a storm is coming. But, the winters on the Great Lakes are never good. I have no idea how many huge freighter ships those lakes have swallowed up during the winter season. This one goes out to every person living in Michigan that posts on this site. Don't expect this snow and ice to last to long. You know that our weather is going to get up to 50 degrees again and it will all be gone within a few days. That's just the way our weather is. It sucks doesn't it. It's to unpredictable for my taste.
In this area of the country, its simple... "If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes it will change.".  Yes the winter weather sucks, but just think of that golden sun shining over the point in the summer.  Ah....much better.

Hey Raptor_Rider...it's now 4 days later and it's less that 20 degrees outside.  WHEN did you say that warmup was coming?
