Re : "Millie"?????

The people at Cedar point must have give the Millenium Force it's name for a reason. Is it really that difficult to write it out? Or say the whole thing, it is not really that long.

,

I agree. I try not to say Millie as much as possible, just as how I force myself to say Top Thrill Dragster, instead of Dragster.

But yet we call the Magnum XL 200 just "Magnum" or the Cedar Creek Mine Ride just the "Mine Ride." It's just for the sake of saving keystrokes, or breath in the case of the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad, a.k.a. the Train. At least that's how I see it.

i don't call Millennium Force..it is the MFer to me and my friends. cause it is one MFer of a ride!
TekGuy, you have a good point. I do call it Magnum, or sometimes even Maggie, and the Mine Ride, and the train, or the C.P. & L.E. railroad. From now on I'm using full names, and I should start with Dragster! ;)

Always remember: You're unique, like everybody else.

Well, obviously people have a hard enough time trying to write the name, so we might as well have an easy spelling of it rather then have the illiterate butcher the name.

How many people do you think will refer to Top Thrill Dragste as that? I doubt many, but I sure hope that when the GP shortens it that they will call it Dragster instead of Top Thrill. I can't stand it when people say, "Did you go The Millennium yet?" It's The Force!

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Millie is fine with me, as long as it's not "The Millennium"...

Missed that one. Good call.

I call it the force most of the time, but MF is easier to type. I hate it when people spell "Millennium" with one L or one N, unless they were typing too fast.

Why on earth would you call milenium force "millie"?

Because on one side of the park sits Millie, then on the other sits Maggie....And in between them now sits Draggie. Oh Boy.

I think people can sometimes get a little to "touchy-feely" with roller coasters. Adding the "ie" to the end proves it.

I always say "The Force". I can't remember the last time I've actually said the full name. I always use it in some lame Star Wars context. "Can you feel The Force young jedi"? ;)

If you wanna use it with the Star Wars theme why not call it Millennium Falcon? Or just Millennium F.?

Go ahead, I dare you!

Why argue about it? Each to his own, thats what I think. Cedar Point calls it Millennium Force. If someone wants to call it Millie, let them. Don't go freaking out because they're too lazy to say the whole thing. Same for Magnum. (See? I called it Magnum, not Magnum XL-200. You guys gonna cry?) Just let people call it what they want to.
