Raptor's Station

Does anyone have aby pics. of Raptor's staion. I'm trying to build Raptor on Roller Coaster Tycoon2 but cant find any pictures of it's station. I've checked this site, rcdb, coasterphotos, Cedar point's site, and virtual midway for pics but have only found 2. They still dont give me a full perspective of the station. Can someone please post photos, or E-mail me some. THANKS!

This has nothing to do with pics for the station, but rather the station its self. As most of us know they redesigned the station to put in those air gates. Well the reduced the size of line for the front row BIG TIME. its no longer on both sides of the station, and it doesnt wrap around on the left side. Its just one straight shot to the trains. The worst part is you cant wait for the front if the line is filled, you have you pick another row. Why would they do this? Raptor is my fav. ride in the park, and theres nothing like the front, on all the other coasters they have a much longer line for the front than they do now on Raptor, what gives?

First as a Raptor ride op let me just say, smaller station or not I am THRILLED to see the airgates. No longer to the ops have to watch for (stupid) guests to run across the platform WHILE the floor is dropping, or just keeping them back behind the yellow line. It does take a tad more time and work for dispatch to open the gates but I welcome the airgates!
On the flip side of that however I can NOT figure out WHY they were placed so far back in the station, the yellow line is HUGE and there is still a huge space before the gates.
As for the front line question. By adding the airgates that took away alot of guest space, so it would be difficult to also have that 2nd line (on opposite side of platform) waiting for the front. It doesn't seem to matter there is no railing for a 2nd front car line, people will still stand there anyway. If there are too many people on the platform now waiting for the front, it causes mass confusion since people who have never ridden Raptor step on the platform and just stand there cause they don't know where to go. I've had guests stand in the 2nd front row line for a while only to realize after a while that wasn't the line JUST to ride! That 2nd front row line gets beyond out of control sometimes, blocking the platform, and other people being able to get on. So I think that is why due to lack of space now they eliminated the 2nd front seat rows. Of course the normal guest isn't going to see that, they will simply stand there anyway :(
As for nothing being better than the front, any true Raptor freak (and I've got the tattoos to prove it) knows the best seats on Raptor are seats 8-1 or 8-4. I save my Raptor front seat rides for the AM test ride when I'm working there. Nothing like you being the ONLY one on the entire train!! :)
I will however have to admit the front seat on Talon does rock! ;)

OK now before the flaming starts let me correct myself. Dispatch CLOSES the gates, not opens. When the floor comes up all the way then the gates open. My bad. Excuse me-it's not like I'm a Raptor expert or anything! ;)
Btw-let me also mention here that I wished the Raptor floor automatically raised as the train comes into the station (such as on Talon) that would definitely help with intervals!

I couldn't agree with you more.

Jo, the gates are positioned so far back so that when the gates are open, you still have room to walk between the end of the gate and the side of the train. Unlike what we see at Certain Other Parks where the open gates completely block the space between the train and the rail.

Why CP didn't deal with this by installing double gates as on Millennium Force, I have no idea. But take heart in the fact that Raptor isn't the only ride where the gate retrofit screwed up the station......

I'm going to also have to say that the 2 back outside seats are hands down the best. As for the station pics, well just take a trip to the point and take some yourself!

ok i can understand that the part of the front line that was over tot he right side of the station was confusing and i can see taking that part out. But why reduce the size of the part to the left? it used to wrap around one, but now its just a straight shot to the trians.

As to the back being the best on Raptor, To each one its own i guess.
