While at the park on the 22nd got in line for raptor, great ride of course but then all of a sudden in the middle of the cobra-roll BANG! Now I don't remember this the last few times I rode, but it was very loud.
I was just wondering if anyone else has heard this while in the cobra roll, or if anyone knows what it could be.

I was there the 20th and I dont recall and bang. Raptor was running well and smooth when I was there.

I wouldn’t really call it a BANG unless it’s gotten worse. There are “cracks” in numerous places that have been shored up. There is also one fairly noticeable on the left side of the bottom of the first drop. Not really a bang more like a little bump that’s most won't know it's there unless you're feeling for it.

I was there yesterday as well and don't recall anything abnormal or loud while riding Raptor. Maybe it came from somewhere else in the park near you?
It was on raptor because of other people on the ride felt/ heard the samething, it could have just been a one time thing, but it did not sound good at all, i was in the 2nd row far right seat, i'll be going again on thursday the 24th so i'll see if it does it again.

In my experience, such "bangs" are usually something (loose article) falling from the train, and hitting a support.

I was also at the point on the 22nd and didn't experience anything outside of the norm. Well, actually, the floor in the station was making a funny noise as it lowered. Did anyone else notice that?
Yeah we always put it on night maintence they said they lubed the floor but it always does that it kinda gets annoying at some points.
Joe E, I know exactly what you're talking about at the bottom of the first drop. Anyways, those trains are always rattling and whatnot. Probably just a one time thing. Might have been a loose article though too.

Damn kids need to hold on more and buckle up tighter.
Just to clarify, it wasn't me losing these items, I was just in the train.

I thought it was the green train from MF getting itself out of the lake. Of course, that cat fish could have been lying to me...

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
The "bangs" are "normal." If you notice around the final turns on Iron Dragon, they do the same exact thing. Maintenance said that it is something in the supports that makes it do that and nothing to worry about.

Those "bangs" (what ever you do don't call them cracks! ;)) have been going on for YEARS!!
The one on the 1st drop (on left side of train) started like in '00 and the one on the cobra roll (on right side of train) has been there since '02 I do believe.
So you're not hearing things!
Of course what do I know anyway?? ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Bo knows football, and Jo Knows Raptor ;).
I saw them fix the “bang” in the Cobra Roll a few years ago. They took out a lift out on the Cadillac Cars Track and were welding it. The funny part was since they couldn’t say the real reason why Cadillac was closed, all Cars were “down mechanical.” :)
