Okay, First do you like the Mantis or the Raptor better? Do you like stand-up or Inverted roller coasters better. Do you like the track of Mantis or Raptor better?
Which do you like better:
Cornbread or cornhole?
Cutting steak with a knife or stabbing yourself in the eye with a knife?
Millennium Force or Jr. Gemini?
Driving a car or getting run over by a car?
I accually read this one instead of just replying (knowing it would be the same as the other ones) and I must say *cough* moron *cough*.
I have two options to choose from, post whore or troll. Take your pick.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Raptor kills Mantis in my opinion. I think inverted coasters are better than stand-up for a number reasons. They're not only more comfortable. They also give a more unique riding experience. The only added thrill I've experienced with stand-up coasters is the feeling that the curves and twists are tighter. I think the same effect could be produced to a greater extent and comfort if the seats were raised higher than normal. You get close to this effect with floorless coasters. The main flaw in Mantis as a stand-up coaster is the fact that the curves are not as tight as on smaller designs. I think the stand-up effect on a ride like The Georgia Scorcher is more noticeable although Mantis is more complex. With that said, I think Mantis would make a decent ride if it were floorless instead of stand-up. I'm still disappointed in the brakes on the first drop, however.
Raptor interacts more with the midway and other rides than Mantis, which is just wedged in a tight location. The effect of being over the lagoon in certain sections of Mantis is interesting, but I don't think it adds nearly as much of an impact on the ride as in literally flying above the park, as on Raptor.
In conclusion, as soon as I have a head-bashing experience on a roller coaster, I avoid riding it. This led me to writing off a lot of looping coasters..especially B&M models, which have restraints that are hard to avoid impact with. Unfortunately Mantis fits in this category.
Wow force freak stop making these threads, your taking up space on the forums about stuff people already know. If you go to the cedar point homepage, they rank Raptor #14 and i dont see Mantis on there. No offence Mantis.
