Raptor “Roar”

It might just be me, but the Raptor sounds extra loud this year. It’s whoosh has always been a part of the ride but it seems louder or more intense this year. Anyone ever notice this?

Yes! I thought it was just me, but for the last couple of years, it has been nearly silent.
I'm glad to have it roaring back.

I noticed it was extremely loud this weekend as well. I've heard it this way for periods in past years too. My theory is they've got some different wheels on there - perhaps harder nylon meant for cooler weather. They might swap some of them as the weather warms up. Total guess on my part, but I'm not sure what else the explanation would be.

Actually commented the same thing to my wife while we were there this weekend. It seemed _way_ louder than I remember in years past.

I ate at the corral tables once. Not doing that again.

What? Doctor's proud? I don't understand what you're saying. Also, why are my ears ringing?

Likely because they don't want to risk early season roll backs by using more nylon wheels, like they do in the fall when it gets louder.

I'm sure once they are confident the temps will stay warm, they will go back the normal wheel config, as they always do.
