Raptor QuickTime available for download

Hey Jeff,

Do you think you could put a high quality version of the Raptor promo up so we could actualy download it. Streaming video just kinda sucks without high speed internet access such as the Cable Modem or DSL. It would be sweet if we could actualy download it to our hard drives.

That Raptor brought a tear to my eye. They cut down his stalk.

"All I can say is it's great to be back."
Hey, if you could get a downloadable verson that would be great. My slow connection runs at about 1 frame every 10 seconds.

I'm not going to link to it from the Raptor page, so consider you forum users and lurkers "in." You can download a 24MB QuickTime movie (320x240, 30fps) at:

There are some compression artifacts in one place in the animation that I can't seem to beat. If I had the developer version of the Sorenson codec ($400), it could probably beat it and reduce file size. I can't promise this thing will be up there forever, so download it while you can.

Thanks Jeff #4. I dont think the "compression artifacts" are not that bad. On my computer anyway, it is alot clearer than the sreaming type one.

Gozilla is freeware.

Hey Jeff, I have a question about your video. It runs just fine in the QuickTime player. When I try to run it in the Windows Media player, it won't run. Is this your file, or is it a bad download that I need to re-do?

Which one, the QuickTime? Windows Media Player is a little flaky with some codecs other than its own streaming codecs and MPEG. Naturally, I should think you'd want to run a QuickTime file with QuickTime. ;)
