Random, but something I noticed when last at CP...

Has anyone noticed that the Midway Garden across from the Cadillac Cars had all the bushes around it taken out? I noticed that all of the "islands" of flowers have the hedges around them, but noticed those ones were taken out. I actually remember noticing last year they were starting to look bad and needed to be replaced, but it doesn't look as if they got replaced? It looks as if some new stuff is planted around it, but can't really tell what it is. Anyone have any idea what?

It's alien pods that are giving birth to new coaster nuts...lol J/k.

Probaly new bushes.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I direct any off the wall landscaping questions I have directly to the department, with good results. (for instance the beautiful spring-blooming tree next to Gemini is a Ruby Red Horse Chestnut and new ones were recently planted by Toft's ) Off hand I can't think of the head of landscapings name, but he's real helpful.

I have also wondered what many of the plants and trees are. I think it would be nice if they had a page on the cp site dedicated to the landscaping.

Tom Roberts, that's him. Nice man and really helpful.

I looked at that page when i was wondering about that tree by Gemini, but it's non-specific about where certain types of trees can be found.. Even a flyer for those interested in horticulture to pick would be a nice thing at the Point. (It would be a daunting task, as large as the park is, and the annuals would be impossible, but a list of trees and perennials would be ok.) They do a tremendous job there, and it would be a nice way to show off their hard work and design skills.

Some of my favorites are the bald cypress planted around the exit ramp at Magnum. They're way cool trees, and every couple of years get severe haircuts till they look totally bare. But in a few months, the foliage is back and they look great.

I know I always enjoy the flower bed that you see as you are going up the hill of the Raptor!
