Random Acts of Point-sickness

Hey there everybody, how's it going? I don't know about you, but in the offseason I can't wait for the time when I will return to the wonderful place that is Cedar Point. Sometimes, I just can't wait, and I have to do something to remind myself of the Point. What random acts of Point-sickness have you committed in the past?

On a related note, I am currently compiling a playlist of songs that I've heard played at CP and downloading them as I think of them. Trouble is, I can't remember them all: what are some songs they play over the loudspeakers at CP?

Wise men say, a world without coasters is monotony.

Wise men say, wait until the offseason to do topics like this. The season's not over yet.

Hi. You have a worse obsession than I do. That can't be a healthy thing.

And I thought I was bad since I haven't been there yet this season...Sheesh! :)

It's basicly the same type of withdrawal that smokers have when they try to quit, except our drug is adrenaline, not nicotine. In the home stretch of March and April, I get really antsy.

June 28th: LocoBazooka Tour (Sevendust headlining)
July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

Heh...I just play RCT. Nice of them to come up with a new version!

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Especially considering the release date is pretty close to the end of the season. Nice planning on that one, or just a coincidence.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

It is the offseason for me; I'm not going back this year.

Playing RCT and (as of tomorrow) RCT2 to help with my withdrawl.

"Yes it is I back from lurking."

I think that I have a pretty bad obsession with the Point. I spent my time during the summer either at CP or making a book with all of the stats of all of the thrill rides and pictures of all of them. I have memorized them to the point where if somebody asks me an obscure fact like how far banked are the turns on Millenium Force I could let them know off of the top of my head. (122 degrees:-)

Welcome to the Magnum XL-200, the coaster featured most on the Discovery Channel.

I play RCT not just during the off-season but when I am not at an amusant park :)

Don't forget Vegas.

There is no such thing as off season, just longer trips. It helps to work for a major hotel chain..Free rooms rule.

I think that knowing coaster names, and the stats of those coasters that you have (and haven't) ridden is just like other people knowing athlete's names and their stats. It's just a difference subject matter.

Aside from a CD with CP songs, the Discovery channel special and The Coasters of Cedar Point are a necessity for me. I also drove to Sandusky twice during the offseason last year just to see the skyline again. I'm not looking forward to October 27. Starting on the 28th, I will begin my countdown of the number of days left until opening day.

Let's ride the "Sky Ride Sponsored By The Ohio Lottery Odds Are You'll Have Fun" Ride!

Yeah, I had a countdown clock going this year saying how many seconds were left until the point opens. I was in line for Wicked Twister when it still had an hour to go (thank God for resort-guest perks!)
