It is pure folly to try and generalize Ohio weather. You'll get burned every time.

There is a saying about Ohio weather,
"If you don't like the weather now, wait ten minutes and it'll change."
My FST teacher always said it.
I always thought that weather changed quickly and drastically in Ohio...
until I lived in Michigan for a year.

"If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence you tried."
It's the great lakes and their effect that makes weather somewhat unpredictable, which is why Michigan and Ohio can have such varied weather. Generally, May is a good month to come to CP due to low crowds. Even rainy days (so long as it's not one of those all day steady rains) can be fun....if not better because people who could normally take a day trip will put it off.
It can be a tad cooler than the predicted temp due to CP being on a penninsula and the lake breezes, especially in May, can be a bit cooler.

We rode Millie in the rain last October. While it hurt sometimes, it was FUN FUN FUN!
It may not be, but it sure seemed like she was flying at over 100mph on that slick track.

Where'd the 8-ball go? Oh, there it is...
A nice place to check out the weather for Sandusky, OH before you go (not a month ahead of time, of course) would be www.weather.com. Cool huh? :)
