Radius of top hat?

Does anyone know the radius of the top hat? I need to know it (quickly) for a Physics paper :P

Its really hard to tell, We need to know the exact width of the tower. I'm not good at that stuff. Wish i could help.

Where's Althoff when you need him? ;) If you could give me a little more info I might be able to help you. Since the tophat isn't (obviously) a complete circle, do you need the actual radius (in theory) of a complete circle of the same size like a chord of the theoretical tophat circle? What are you actually trying to calculate?

Edit: Selling, gotta love that english language

Using some of the equations here, I'm trying to calculate the maximum G forces *ahem* airtime this beast will put out.

I only need approximations/estimations, etc, assuming that the top hat is a perfect circle (well half circle)

Pretty much everything in this report (due tomorrow, actually) is approximations on the new ride :)

If I had to guess, I'd say around 30 feet.

Heh nevermind folks, I finished the paper without that certain equation. However if anyone else out there wants to figure this one out... :)

I thought i remember someone saying that the towers horizontal sections were around 50 feet long. If thats true then the radius would be in the ballpark of 25 feet. Simple math.

It's kind of hard to figure out the radius because in actuallity the top hat is more of an oval or ellipse than a perfect circle, because the tophat gets tighter as it nears the top. As for the width of the structure, I say it's around 100 feet because each catwalk is about twice as wide as each section is tall, and everybody seems to agree that each section is around 50 feet. That's where I get my 100 foot, but it still doesn't help much due to the odd shape of the tophat.
