Does anyone know if there will be a queueing line DJ like on Magnum and Raptor? If so, what music would you want them to play? I think that stuff like Metallica, KoRn, and Limp Bizkit would be appropriate. (or, at least, that's what I would like)

Even though I do Like a lot of the music by the mentioned artists, I don't think it would sit well with a large amount of the guests. You have to keep in mind that there are a lot of families that visit, but I think the stuff that is played in the queues now is fine. Just as long as I don't see anymore goons dancing to YMCA.:)
Before every season, the DJ's at CP have a chance to nominate songs for induction to the "exciting" musical line up. If they are clean and meet the stringent codes of "whatever" that CP has in place, then you will hear them... My predicitons for this year: that BLUE SONG and many more from the Backstreet Boys, along with our favorite mix of CP's greatest hits. ;)
(Dave who actually likes the Backstreet Boys only wishes that the DJ audio system in place at the MF queue is not BOSE, maker of the world's most unnatural sounding speakers. No highs , no lows it must be BOSE.)
Thank you for letting me entertain myself,

I dunno... those Bose in my living room are great, but not designed for outdoor use. (Most Bose are engineered to create a certain stereo perception based on the shape of a square room with tweeters and bass ports positioned in certain ways. The deal with those used at CP isn't that they're missing highs and lows, but rather that they're not EQ'd for outdoor use.)
If you're in high school or even college, consider a song and ask yourself if it would be aurally offensive to your parents. If the answer is "yes," there's a safe chance that you can forget it.

As much as I love Korn, and Metallica and would love to hear them in line at CP..It will never happen..That music is not the family atmosphere CP want to project..although it is speed music for a speed ride huh!! Korn Rocks!!

Part of the problem, of course, is that like so many speaker systems these days, the queue speaker systems were apparently set up by deaf engineers. Too much bass, not enough high end, and too damn loud. Spend a little money, add a few more speakers and a perhaps even a couple of delay lines, and position the additional speakers to cover the queue. Then run everything at a lower volume so that we don't all go deaf while waiting to ride AND we don't have to listen to the speakers distort.
And for heaven's sake PLEASE fix the EQ. The response curve should be natural, not skewed to the low end. Shut off the LOUDNESS if you're driving the system loud...it will sound much, much better!
(The purpose of LOUDNESS is to make the system sound loud when it is being played quiet. LOUDNESS on a system turned up loud just sounds like crap.)

Who thinks a lot of sound people could learn a lot from Dollywood and Disney.
Hehe... funny this topic comes up :) I sure hope that MF has a live DJ, mainly because I auditioned to be a "Jammin DJ" back in November!
And Dave- couldn't agree more. As a dance DJ, I can't stand it when the bass overruns the highs.
Waitin to see if I get hired :)......

I think that Kumba Cayl is right and there should be Korn and Metallica on the speakers. There are no bad words in any of Metallica's songs (except in concert), and nothing in "Falling Away From Me", by Korn.

GIVE ME FUEL, GIVE FIRE, GIVE ME THOU WHICH I DESIRE!
Lyrics aren't the issue... it's a family park and you won't get anyone over 40 to return if you're playing that stuff (which quite frankly is a bit too much of a fad brought on by boredom with current pop music).

They are supposed to play a well-rounded variety.
