I cant tell by the drawings and web cams, so can anyone tell me where exactly the ENTRANCE of the queue will be located?

If you look at the Power Tower web cam, its under the 5th white piece of track from the bottom of the picture up. Or its under the 3rd white piece of track down from the hydrolic building.

You can kind of see a small roof under the track with cement walls coming out from underneath it. That is where you will enter the queue.

Exactly right 99er. It is pretty much in the middle of the area between the Magnum bathrooms and Corkscrew's entrance.

That must be the tunnel that Rob Decker was talking about in the construction diary.

Or another easy way to figure out where it is if you can't see it on the web cam: Its right across from where the John Deere display was/is.

Right under the track??? That will be sweet! But is TTD gonna be real loud when it launches? I know Hypersonic here in Richmond is REALLY loud when it launches. Anyone have an idea or the facts?

I think the entrance will be on the brake run side...there is a picture on CP's website that says..."near the entrance area" and it's all the way down on the brake run close to the turn around......
I take that back...after I just said that..I looked at the artist rendering of the ride and umm there is just a building and nothing over there....so errr I'm wrong :(
Apperintly Xcelerator isn't too loud when it launches, and I am assuming TTD will be the same.

Also, I am currently looking at the Power Tower cam, and where are the grandstands going to be? To the right of the queue?

the grandstands are outlined right now in white chalk right to the right of the launch track...
As an answer to just how loud it is watch this video, it's pretty awesome. Also if you look at where the concrete for the queue is than you can see that it's not right beside the launch track, so it won't be too bad sound wise.

yes i know the launch sound has been talked about before, here's the link.

Can't wait to be at the Point!

Actually it looks like some of the supports for the grandstands are already erected, which is clearly visible in the power tower cam.

What are the grandstands?

On the midway next to the launch area there will be grandstands where "spectators" can watch the trains launch. There will be a food stand underneath them, which will be welcome since there aren't really any food outlets in that area of the park.

After seeing and riding Xcelerator in person, I don't think TTD will be very loud at all. You could actually hear people as opposed to WT's "screaming" launch, or STE's "roaring" launch.

Yes STE does sound like an airplane. TTD will not be like that at all.

I can't wait to see what this ride looks like when its all finished and I'm staring in awe at what was once 3 footers behind a white fence.
*tear* The memories....

I, also, was curious about the entrance, but I thought that the "tunnel" was supposed to be at the end, before you walked into the station?

There is a small tunnel at the entrance under the track, but I wouldn't be surprised to see another, longer one near the station.

Now here's the million dollar question: Which direction do you think the overflow from the TTD queue will wrap around? Logic should dictate that the overflow would extend from the queue entrance towards the park entrance... but the Millenium Force line overflows into Frontier Town...

Any thoughts?

Whatever way that the people working the ride want it to go.

I think they would direct it down toward PT. It would keep it out of the way of Magnum, Camp Snoopy, and Gemini.
