Queue Covers go up...

The framing for the queue covers are being constructed.... I heard a lot of the queue would be covered but I never realized it would be that much.

Whoa, you're right. I didn't realize there would be that much covering!

well shoes flying at 70 mph could go quite a distance if u think about it....especially if it's twisting.

Hopefully they will install those misting fans also! I love the shaded covers! :)

By the way, where is the ride exit going to be? The entrance into the station is on the lake-side, right?

Any one ever gamble on those games where you bet on what plot of land an animal will do it's business. (No I'm not from a farm town. In fact I've never heard of this in Ashland which is surrounded by farmland. It was done in my hoemtown near clevleand)

So who wants to take bids on a shoe flying into the Aquatic stadium pool?

You know the joke about the pool brings up one thing that I've been thinking about. Usually at the dive shows I've been at, the announcer always asks for silence while a dangerous dive is performed. How will the performers like having Wicked Twister launching and roaring behind them every few seconds? I guess they'll probably get used to it after awhile.

Chris, you mean Cow Pie Bingo? (Yes, I admit it, I grew up in a very small town, and this was a feature event at every annual town festival).

Now to be more on-topic. I assume that shade, not necessarily protection, is the main reason why there are so many queue covers. They have also finished painting the framing for the covers in what appears to be white...(at least under a cloudy sky).

Yeah, Cow Pie Bingo, In my town (North Ridgeville next to Elyria) they did it every year and called it Cow Drop Mania.

Whoa! This morning there were just frames, at noon there are covers. They work fast in the rain!

LOL! I can see some of the workers hunkered underneath the cage thing by the one of the towers, trying to dodge the rain!. :)

Such a beautiful blue/green stripey color combination... Kind of hard to see through all the pea soup-thick fog that's covering the Point this afternoon.

Can somebody please save a screenie for us "late night" web surfers. I never get to see the webcams when the sun is out.

I know it isn't east to see everything on the webcam but does anyone else think that is a relatively small area for what we all know is going to be a huge line?

That's less than a third of the queue you're seeing. The other two thirds are on the aquarium site.

The call for silence is just to add suspense and excitment for the crowd. If the crowd thinks it's dangerous they will enjoy it more. I doubt the diver is bothered by the noise of a coaster or the crowd.
