Hi,
I'm going to visit Cedar point the weekend 9/18 - 9/20.
When will the queues close for the coasters? WIll all coasters run until midnight (friday, saturday)?
Are Single Rider Lines available and does it really help to shorten the wait time?
Is it okay to take small items like a cell phones, car key or a wallet on the rides in zip pockets, so it's not possible to loose them?

All ride queues are open until 8 minutes after close. There are no single rider lines. It's fine to wear zipper pockets for your keys, wallet, phone, etc.

Hi,
that means - say the park closes actually at midnight and the current queue is 60 minutes -
if I queue 7 minutes past midnight I'm still able to enjoy my ride that actually happens after 1AM?
Something else:
Can I choose the row (except 1st row) myself or is it assigned by an operator?
Is there a CP Android app that can show current wait times?
Is it feasible to have food+drink in my car and get it during the day for lunch?
Btw, regarding Single Rider: According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_rider#Cedar_Point there is. So were there Single Rider in the past and was it removed, or is and was Wikipedia just wrong?
Yes, if you are in line at midnight you get to ride, even if it s 2AM.
Yes, you get to choose the row.
No there is no Android app that shows wait times.
Yes you can return to your car as many times as you want. Just be sure to get a hand stamp.
Thirty percent --if not more-- of what is on Wikipedia is wrong. ALWAYS verify what you read on Wikipedia with another source. Cedar Point does not have single rider lines.

Regarding the single rider lines (and I can't speak for Shoot the Rapids), Maverick previously did have a single rider line, but that was removed when they implemented Fast Lane.
There are no single rider lines at Cedar Point. Usually, being a single rider might save you one or two cycles at most. When you enter the platform, look for somebody standing in a line by themselves and ask politely if you can join them. I've never had anybody turn me down.
Occasionally (most often on TTD), a ride host will ask if there's a single rider and you can sometimes skip ahead four or five trains, but it's not a regular occurrence in my experience. Then, there was the Skyhawk op last Sunday that saw me enter the line by myself when there was 25-30 people in front of me. She asked if I was a single rider and directed me straight to the group that was waiting at the gate. That saved me two cycles and was much appreciated (Skyhawk was in Def Leppard mode on Sunday).
