just wanted some basic answers to some questions i had about my trip i am planning from (i know its a while away but) 7/02/07-7/06/07
its going to take 8 hrs to get there roughly 500 miles we are coming on a monday and leaving on friday, its only 2 ppl and the bon air section of the breakers is not highly recommended so does anyone have any good places to stay outside of the resorts for 100-125 a night 1 queen/king bed is all needed , also i know that july is the peak of the season, but are week days painly crowded, i go to Six flags gadv all the time and usually try to keep away june, july and for the fright fest because u can spend 1 day and get on 3 rides, could this happen at Cedar point? i heard they are good at ride capacity, wats and average wait time for MF. thanks for your time.
Cedar Point has good ride capacity, there is no way you only get on three rides unless its packed. Stick to the middle of the week for the big rides, some people make Cedar Point a 3 day weekend trip. Once you get into the park get in line for a big ride. Using that methid i got on Millennium Force in half an hour. At closing get in line for a ride, they cant turn you away unless it breaks down.

Stay at Breakers Express. Though not on site, it's owned by the park and you'll still get early entry. Last year, they usually opened Millennium Force, Raptor, Skayhawk and Maxair early.
It'll be busy, but nothing like Six Flags - the capacity is so much better, and no fast pass to cause a back up.
To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them"
Even if its packed you would get on more than 3 rides. I visited your home park (SFGADV) last summer, and while the coaster lineup was impressive...capacity was a disappointment.
Anyway, yes, July is busy, but you are going multiple days, which is smart. While it is impoassible to know what days will/wont be busy, you have probably guaranteed yourself one great slow day crowd wise, and at least one crazy busy day. Either way, after 4 days at CP you will have done everything multiple times.
I would personally skip on MF if there is more than a 45 minute wait. With Maverick arriving, you should get incredible lines on MF and TTD all season.
Promoter of fog.
The bon-air section isn't the greatest by any means but it is still not a bad deal because of the convience of it. They are kept decently clean and the beds seem comfortable enough. How much time will you really spend in the room?
The maples is a great place also and pretty close to the park.

With Maverick down that way, maybe some people will rediscover Mean Streak. Either way, If the weather is REALLY hot like July tends to be at times, the lines of Snake River Falls and Thunder Canyon will be INSANE!

Sorry Smith, but I should slap you for that, but I won't.
Say, Eltor, don't forget about Soak City for those hot summer scorchers.

Do not listen to the naysayers about DT! They are cretins and nincomboobs, all of them. ;) Disaster Transport is a fun, charming, unique, indoor coaster. Sure, it's no Space Mountain, but then again are you going to Orlando this year? Just like any other ride, DT has its pluses and minuses. It's definitely worth checking out at least once. If you do, see if you can buy a pair of 3D glasses at the entrance (if anybody is staffing the cart). It's an extra buck, but you get to enjoy the groovy effects in the queues.

does anyone know of any hotels with good park packages outside of the resorts, or is it better to just get a season pass as i will be going 3 days
They CHARGE for the 3-d glasses?? That's just utterly ridiculous. I dislike that ride even more now.
You have no right to compain about anything in Ohio, given your history of rubbing it in. ;)

And don't forget White Wate...er, never mind.
Hey Ensign, can you move that dagger a little to the right of my back & get that itch while your there? Only d/t your positive comments on DT will I forgive your blatant disregard for someone in mourning.
Tim, I will give you a buck for the glasses :p
Oh, & sorry JTaylor, I think the BonAir section is just dreadful.
