Questions for the Experts

ok folks I have been scanning the sight for a few weeks since i found it but have yet to see answers to a few questions that I have so I will just go ahead and ask, here is what I am wondering, My friend and I are heading to CP next week we will be there Fri. and Sat. I am wondering what would be the better day to spend the morning at Soak City, also we are staying at Hotel Breakers and I am wondering if I can purchase tickets the night before (thurs.) anywhere like the hotel or one of the entrance gates? any information that you guys could offer would be much apreciated.

In my personal experience, I've always found that if I go to the park in the morning until mid afternoon, and then head over to Soak City at that point for a few hours, then back to the park for the rest of the evening, it is very refreshing. It often gets really hot while waiting in ride lines, etc., and a visit to Soak City mid afternoon is just what I need to keep me going. Now of course, this is very dependent on the weather, so adjust accordingly! Don't forget that Soak City also has Starlight admission starting at either 4 or 5 each afternoon, which can save you a bit of money of you're not getting a combo pass, which would give you access to both parks on the same day.
You can buy tickets at the front desk (or somewhere in the main lobby) or at the entrances gate the night before. I recommend you do that so you don't have to worry about it in the morning.

If you are looking to save money, and are a AAA member, I'd buy the tickets the night before at the AAA office in downtown Sandusky. You'll save over $10 per ticket to Cedar Point and $3 per ticket to Soak City. If you buy one of those two-day passes, you'll also save a few dollars on each one.

If you're staying at the Breakers, ask for a "Getaway Guide" from the front desk. You'll find coupons that will save you money on all sorts of ticket options.

You could call 1-800-BEST-FUN to get one, but it likely won't get to you before you arrive.

I need a vacation to recuperate from my trip reports.
erica62371 has a great plan to break up the day, and avoid the heat and longest lines. I'd definately go with that! Only drawback would be if you wanted to go with Starlight (after 5pm) tickets, but I've found that they aren't such a great deal, really - just a few dollars off but you miss 7 hours of the park (more than 1/2).

Anyone local know if you can buy tickets at Meijer or someplace like that? But it will definately help out to have the tickets early so you don't have to wait for them that morning.
