Question for Raptor Jo or anybody else that can he

I worked on Raptor in 03, and nothing else would make me happier than to return for another season on Raptor. But unfortunately that cannot happen, as I am locked in a lease w/ my apartment here in cleveland and a few other reasons. The question is, How can I go back and just work weekends? I figure Jo would know the best, (this is chad by the way) but if I could just work weekends out there It would make me a little more happier if I can't make it the whole season.

All you can realistically do is ask management and explain your situation and what you'd need in your contract. It's entirely up to them if they'll allow it, based on your record last season and your situation now. Best of luck!

I am sure CP can work you on Halloweekends only, that is when it seems like they need the most help. Talk to Knauf, and I am sure they will work something out for you.

I am sure that they can work with you about working on Halloweekends, but I don't know if you would get on Raptor. I'm sure its possible, since last year thats what I was gonna do then changed my mind, but when they hired me they didn't tell me what ride I was supposed to be on and he said that he wouldn't be able to tell me until I got there.

The question didn't seem to be about only Halloweekends, but about only weekends throughout the season. Obviously they'd let you work only Halloweekends due to the extreme understaffing -- in '02, that's almost exclusively what I worked (I only began my contract in mid-August by a twist of fate, but stayed through the rest of the season). If you're trying to arrange it for the entire season, it's a bit trickier.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, busy life, haven't been on here in weeks! As for your questions:
I'm not too sure if you'd beable to get on just weekends during the normal season. I would recommend completing the online app with that in the schedule desired to work.
Calling park ops (you know who to talk to, I don't like naming names here) and asking might not be too bad an idea either. Also mentioning you would prefer Raptor again.
As for me, due to Halloweekends being just weekends it was always easy for me to get on. As for getting on Raptor every season I've worked there, that's where having connections definitely helped me for 1st season anyway. After that, it was taken for granted Raptor is where I wanted and where I'd be! ;)

thank you everyone for your response. to clarify i'm not going to work weekends all summer, it was just to work halloweekends, because i can't do it during the summer. hopefully they allow me to come back for halloweekends. were you p lanning on coming back Jo? if all else fails i will just visit cp a bunch of times, if not i'll be working during weekends in sept and oct. thank you everyone!!!

If you only want Halloweekends, then for sure you'll beable to get back on and I'll bet you they'll let you have Raptor too. Just ask for it on your online app, which btw you can complete now and be specific about your work dates.

As far as me coming back, 3 seasons was plenty for me!
But as for being a guest, you can bet Eric and I will be there alot!! :)

Only weekends true...but.....
at the same time I worked at CP, I worked my real f/t job during the week, took care of my kids, house, our horses and our horse business during the week, then left for CP every Friday. Not to mention it COST me $$ in lost wages to work at CP. I didn't get a true day off till after CP closed for the season!!!! :)
You can work at CP all season Rob due to tons of reasons it's just would not work for me!! I only worked weekends for fun!! :)
