Question about the parent swap policy

I was wondering how it works and does it cost anything to use it.Also we are going in a group of six plus my two kids. Can two people wait with the kids and both ride together after the other people in our group get off to stand with my kids?
Parent swap is free. You can get a parent swap form from the ride host working at the entrance to the ride, or at Park Operations. Whoever waits in line and rides first carries the parent swap paper with them and gives it to a ride host when they get off the ride. After that the people who waited with the child can go up the exit of the ride. Tell the ride host the last name on the parent swap and they will seat you. A maximum of 2 people can go up the exit and use the parent swap.

Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...

Denise0073, you'll need two parent swap passes to do what you'd like, and there will need to be two adults in the first group that rides.

I don't know if you're a seasons pass holder or not, but Cedar Point will give you a laminated "parent swap" pass, good for the entire season, if so. Just ask at Park Ops and they'll have it ready for you the next time you return to the park.

Do I have to get a new parent swap form/pass for each ride or is there just one that I use all day?I was also reading on cedarpoint.com that you can get them at the resort entrance, is that so?This really sounds like a cool idea I won't have to wait in any lines all day huh, sounds good to me! I should have brought my kids in previous years.
Forget the PARENT swapping, I'd like to see CP come up with a WIFE swapping policy. I'd like to see the uncomfortable look from the ride attendant when you hand him THAT pass.
You use one pass for the entire day. It's only good once for each ride.

TTD is sinking too! said:

They shouldn't need 2 passes. 4 adults wait in line while 2 wait with the children. Then when the first 4 ride, the 2 that waited can then ride on 1 pass. *** Edited 6/6/2004 4:13:42 PM UTC by ScottishLou***

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

My huband and 9 year old went on TTD first thing in the morning 5/15 while I went and did the monster and Camp Snoopy marathon for a few hours...fun. We exchanged kids, and when I went up the exit, the crew had just rotated and my parent swap was no where to be found. I went to park operations and they laminated a new pass for me, and gave me two freeway passes for TTD.

As far as having two passes, they shouldn't let you do that. They don't make sure that you actually do have children with you, so they could really be abused, and that's not fair to the other people that have to wait hours to ride.
